Good now I have you attention, read on..
On this forum you will find all the methods for making money in the world. New ones are popping up everyday. And as good as all these may be, I think that many people are overlooking a very important factor in making money, whether it is online or offline. I consider it even more important than a good "method".
This is productivity.
Productivity is such an important factor, yet very overlooked, and underestimated. I have gathered some of my favorite productivity tips, that I try to work after every day!
Note: Not all of them are originally written my me, so to be on the safe site, I take absolutely no credit for these, and all credit will go to their respective authors.
1) Don't check you emails every five minutes!
Unless your work absolutely requires it, only check once a day. Preferably at the end of the day. New emails coming in are stealing your focus.
2) Set goals for yourself!
Big and ambitious goals releases energy. Outline them perfectly, so they can't be mistaken, and revisit them for five minutes every day.
3) Keep your space clean!
Mess creates stress. This is just as much at home, as it is in your workspace. Having a clean home and office let's you focus on the important things. Organizing your stuff makes it easy to find them, when you need them.
4) Limit TV time, and "casual" surfing to a bare minimal!
When you are watching TV, reading gossip, or what ever you do, you are watching other peoples successes, and not your own. Use the time you would do this in normally, and use it to chase your dream instead.
5) Ditch people that are no good to you!
This might sound kind of harsh, but socializing with lazy people, and energy suckers, drains your energy, and pulling you down to their level.
6) Routines, routines, routines!
Routines is one of the most important things in high productivity. Having routines imprinted on your brain lets your sub consciousness warm up for every task, so it is ready, when you need it.
Some of the greatest and most powerful men that ever walked this planet, all had one thing in common; they ran the same routines every single day.
7) Get up early!
Getting up at 5 am is ideally the best. Stop fighting the bed, and win the battle. Mastering this alone will strengthen your willpower so it serves you more dutifully in the key areas of your life.
8) Learn to say no!
Unfortunately many of us has a desperate need for people to like us, as good as this may be in other situations, it results in you keeping to say yes, and killing your productive time.
9) Outsource everything you can?t be BIW (Best in the World) at!
Outsourcing common tasks lets you focus on the important and key areas of your business.
10) Stop trying to multi-task!
Recent research shows that all the distractions invading our lives are rewiring the way our brain works, and drops your IQ by 5 points.
11) Get in shape!
Try to get in the best imaginable physical condition. This will keep your body fit, and also your brain.
12) Drink water!
When you are dehydrated, you have much less energy. Low on energy = less work done.
13) Schedule your work!
Work in blocks of 60 or 90 minutes with 10-minute intervals to recover and refuel.
14) Write yourself a not-to do list!
Exclude the non-important things from your business, and avoid pit falls with this list. Steve Jobs once said that the thing that made Apple the thing it is today, was not so much what they chose to build, but all the projects they chose to ignore.
15) Use your commute time wisely!
If you are commuting 30 minutes on average a day, over a year this makes your total time about 6 whole weeks. Use this time wisely. Listen to an audio book, podcasts; what ever floats your boat. But don?t tune in on the Spotify top 100.
16) Be a contrarian!
Why hit the gym when it?s completely full? Why buy your groceries at the time everybody else does it? Do things like this during off-peak hours, and you will save so many of them.
17) Do things right the first time!
Become of the special performers who have the mindset of doing what it takes to get it perfect the first time. This saves you countless hours of having to fix problems.
18) Lock yourself away!
Why do you need to be so available to everyone? Some of you might not remember, or was even born, but we didn?t always have cellphones. Chocking, I know. Back then; it was perfectly acceptable to be unavailable at times. Unless your work absolutely requires it, turn it off. Lock yourself away from everybody, and you will get some much more work done.
Pheew.. I hope that I didn?t lose you, and your learned something. I know that the title is rather taggy, and misguiding, but I had to get your attention.
I hope that you can incorporate some of these steps in your daily work.
Remember, work twice as productive, and triple your income.
