Whats up with all the hate that people have for OnlyFans on twitter? I've never seen so much hatred for an adult website before. There was always people against adult entertainment but never the obsession with a particular site like what OnlyFans is getting.

Given that creators can earn more money on that platform than at any other time in the adult industry, is that the root of the hate?

I wouldnt call it hate. I would call it envy. Money talks.

I lean heavily towards it being envy. It's more intense compared to the past.Looking back at some of the previous top adult entertainers from the 90s, such as Jenna Jameson. Their annual earnings are even less with inflation compared to what the top stars today can make.

I just see so many calling for banning the site and jailing the owner and the models. There's hundreds of other sites out there that have been around longer that they say nothing about.

Probably the countless examples of people using it to lure sad, lonely people into a false sense that they've got some kind of real relationship so they can hustle them for cash. It's not just an adult site, if people just wanted porn there's an unlimited supply of it online for free. It's the interactivity that dupes a lot of suckers into thinking they've got a real chance with the person they're subbed to.

Also, you've got a lot of examples of really toxic OF psychos who feel entitled to other peoples' money and will insult them if they don't get it or don't get enough.

You have examples of this on Twitch and they get lots of hate on there as well. No shortage of examples of the same on YT. So it's not just an OF thing.

As for envy, nah, most OF "models" don't make much of anything. Far more people making more money on YT. OF did ok during Covid but once the lockdowns were over, OF crashed for the majority of earners. Saw lots of people whining about having to go get a real job lol, as if they didn't know eventually lockdowns would end.

People are angry and resentful some people can earn way more than they can ever do in their life time just by showing off their body. I diagnose all envy as bitching. Simply work more and do the best you can do with what you have in life.

too much spam with OF, everywhere you look you get hit by some random posts/videos etc promoting their page

I think it because OF is a form of porn disguised and it does destroys the confide of men who are addicted to it. It also increases masturbation which does not help with testosterone in men.

Definitely, masculine men will not like only fans since it's the most popular.

There's been a ton of adult content online for years now. A site like OF is just allowing people to subscribe directly to the model rather than buying a video from a production company or subscribing to them.

Me personally I hate that site. And no it's not envy. It's the "women" on the site preying on young and lonely men. I put women in quotes because chances are that girl that you're talking to by paying $5 per chat is most likely a man in a center somewhere in a foreign country and the actual woman has no idea you exist. It's like they sell a feeling of attachment, that someone cares about you, when all they care about is your money.

In the past, there was just traditional "corn", but now it's a whole different type of emotional manipulation featuring males pretending to be females, and agencies exploiting everyone, from the women, to the men pretending to be women, all the way until the end user, a poor man looking for attachment.

Video chat sites have been doing that for the past 15 years or more, and there was no public hysteria against them.

Not true. In video chat sites, you essentially pay a prostitute to do acts. Very rare for an emotional attachment to be formed, but even if that happened the guy understood he was paying for the attention and at least you could be confident you were talking to a real woman.

I never thought of OF as porn in disguise. I thought of it as porn. But then again, the few times I used the platform I followed porn stars lol

Models give out their number/kik/telegram/whatsapp on a variety of video chat websites. The members were forming parasocial relationships on those sites before OF was around.

Twitter's buzzing with disdain for OnlyFans like never before. While criticism of adult entertainment isn't new, the unique surge of hate seems centered on this platform. With creators cashing in like never before, is jealousy fueling the fire?
