The great decoupling impressions/clicks

Anyone experiencing the huge gap between more impressions and less clicks ?

It is just killing one of my best projects now.

If you read Google recent statement it says it's due to be shown in AI overview, but generating less clicks as people do not go further.

Yeah, big problem for published content, but I found a solution for new content. I only use keywords that don't have an AI Overview.

Makes sense. I'm starting to look into keywords that don’t trigger AI Overviews too but it’s tough when most of the good ones already do. Might try mixing in some info-type queries with strong hooks to drive email signups or push them into funnels early, just to reduce full dependency on SERP clicks.

AI will cost anyone a piece of their traffic
It all makes sense now. Why would Google want 20 topics all on the same subject.
Gemini can understand it all & give the proper answers to your questions.
