I don?t see what the big deal with Google tracking your PBN/PSN is. As long as your website has original content, and provides a good user experience? who cares where it links to? I can?t see any reason that a PBN would be in violation of the webmaster guidelines or why it should be hidden from google. Am I missing something?

It is artificially influencing rankings so that's what the problem is as with pretty much all link building. Google want everything to be natural.

In a sense, every way you build links besides posting it on your social media is artificially influencing the rankings. I will try to find the Google article I read on that a few years ago. You would think they would be okay with it, but a lot of spam sites and useless garbage would be ranking for terms that people actually search for.

Because Googs has publicly stated that any kind of link building efforts by the owner of a website is considered unnatural. So, if you are the owner of a bunch of sites and you are linking to your own sites, then you are in violation. Other sites are supposed to link to your site (In google's view) because of the relevance of the content. Kind of like how a lot of site owners will link to a wikipedia article. So, when they detect that you actually own the sites that are linking to your money site, it's automatically a method to manipulate organic search results and they punish your sites because of it.

It's kind of funny actually. I see a lot of people complaining about how many times Wikipedia is at the top of the search engines and then, I will later see a thread from that same person saying how they link to "a wikipedia article" to give it a sense of legitimacy. What they don't realize, is that each time they link to a Wiki page, they are only making Wikipedia that much stronger and helping it to continue to rank at the top of the results for so many terms.

The only thing Google wants is you buying Adwords campaigns!
They will fight against any kind of artificial link building, not only from a PBN...

Google wont ban PBNs just because its PBN.

Everyone in this thread is wrong.

If your PBN has thin / useless content it will get a thin content penalty and/or Panda penalty.

If it has "unnatural links" this is the penalty it will get : "unnatural outoing links" you can tell by your PR getting set to 0. The one thing PR is useful, to check penalties for link selling.

Wake Up! Google is now banning PBN with Pure Spam penalties, even PBN sites with original content

Is this thread some kind of joke, OP? Do you work for Google?

Footprints are a major deal OP! You have to make it look natural or they will penalize and
shutdown your network.

"pure spam" is just the next step of "thin content".

There is nothing original about your 5$ manual spun articles.

Pure Spam and thin content are by far the easiest to recover, if you can afford to buy content that is.

1.Shut up.

2.Start reading.

3.Learn.

Before you you reply to this post remember step 1. No need to thank me (remember step 1, again).

1. When I said low class post, you proved my point with your next response. I should edit it to low class individual.

2. Refer to #1. Rinse and repeat.

There's only one principal rule - google makes $ - not you. If you break this rule - no matter how good your website is it will be nuked sooner or later. If it's still profitable for you to build another website - just do it. If not - change niche to more profitable. This is how it works :)

Google wants people to take up adwords rather u performing seo on ur websites !!!!

How true,Google is all about Google, they want the money!

If they allowed people to use pbn's, the top results for every search would come down to who has the most money and can afford a huge pbn. Chances are, if they allowed them the little guy who writes his ass off would never get any visits to his great website because he simply couldn't afford to compete with big ballers and huge budgets sucking up every niche.
This would lead to everyone using bing.com to get decent results, hence putting google out of business.

I honestly don't think they care a huge deal about PBNs, but they dont' want these piece of shit ones out there. I've seen very blatant websites linking to each other for several years and I'm sure Google could have penalized them if they wanted to.
The problem is 95% of PBNs are absolute fucking dog shit, and that annoys the fuck out of Google, and rightfully so.
But if you have a PBN and your sites have great content, get natural links, etc, I don't think they would mind. I mean if you have 200 of these sites and that's the only links you have, that's probably a red flag.

But yeah, Google is all about the money. They want the big dogs spending money on Adwords. Here's my issue. I skip the ads because any shit site can pay to rank, even if they only deliver the product half the time. I have no idea. I go to the guys in the top of the search engine that have good sites and look like they're established. This is all tied in to their trust and branding, but how do you do it with adwords? I think that's a trend that's happening, more and more people are avoiding the ads because anyone can buy that spot. And I think Google needs to find a solution to it or their advertising profits are going to continue to decline.
