Hello everyone,

Let's collect all important notes and ideas about how to write a good post to your blog readers.

I'll start ;

* Re-read 5 times at least your post before publishing it ! You will find something to fix every time. (If you are serious about your blog, then you should definitely understand how important every fix is!)

* As a reader, I really like to see some pictures included in the post to break the long boring article :)

I think article should contain interesting information. Because that will give huge relaxation to the reader.

Installing the WordPress Jetpack plugin and using the spell/grammar checker would definitely help with this.

Another important thing is that you should address your your readers in the post more than once. Gives them a sense of belonging.

Another important point:

Try to talk to get closer to your readers, by repeating for example "you guys", "we on xx.com", "we both know"..

Hard to explain :/ I hope you got it

I'm new to all this and have been banging out 3 a week (i know not even blogging by some of your standards) and all i can say is the one I enjoy the most, is a proper well researched blog for a good company that takes me a whole day. The other 2 I write in an hour and feel nothing, the big one is pure satisfaction.

More often than not, it's a good idea to write short enough posts that you can see the end in your browser window. People get rushed and lazy and won't even start reading if they can't see the where the article ends.

just dont bullshit your readers and write really useful meaningful stuff

Make sure to have a central thesis/statement/argument developed before writing and maintain it throughout the article

Absolutely! Meaningless content is just a trick to draw traffic and you won't get followers, return readers or click-through on ads from disappointed readers.

Never copy the work of others, re-read content and then send, but always double check sources (totally not the same as copying =] )
