The Gmail Trick

Im sure most of u know this trick to get unlimited emails using one email address

I'm wondering why twitter or other sites don't filter these out or more importantly can they if they want to? If yes I'd say that by using the same email to create twitter accounts your taking a chance that all accounts will be banned...?!

I infact do not know this trick, could you explain?
