My 2 year old daughter is daddy's little girl all the way... Usually if I am holding one of the other babies she will scream and throw a tantrum and even try to pull them off of me because she is jealous....

Well, a few minutes ago I was holding my 4 year old in my lap, and my 2 year old calmly walked up to me and tried to hand me the belt, but my wife grabbed it from her instead. So she started screaming outrageously. So after a couple of minutes my wife handed the belt to me and she stopped screaming.

Now that I had the belt in my hand and my 4 year old was still in my lap, my 2 year old quietly walked over and picked up my shoe, walked back and stood about 3 feet away and threw the shoe and hit my 4 year old in the head with it....

It was wrong, but I can't help to laugh about it because it's like she wanted me to have the belt because she actually planned to hit her sister, and wanted me to hit her with the belt for it lol

EDIT: Before anyone gets their panties in a bunch.... I DO NOT and have NEVER hit my kids. I am 100% against it. It was just a funny set of circumstances

So long story short, you beat your kids with belts when they get in trouble? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I can't figure out why she handed you the belt? She expects to be beaten when she throws a fit?

No I didn't hit her lol. I just thought that was funny :D

And actually I don't hit my kids at all. I never have. I don't agree with it.

I really hope you are wrong because that would be so disturbing.

I agree with Dagreyon, if she knew that she would need the belt after she misbehaved, it's obvious that she expects to be beaten.

That probably isn't why she handed me the belt lol. It just seemed funny that it played out that way

Lmao at how the thread turned out against the OP... Now that's funny. :D

By the way, jealousy isn't a good thing. You need to work on that one. :)

Nah it's not too bad. People just get the wrong idea when things aren't worded right. No big deal :D

Friend, please don't allow her to throw those tantrums. IMO, later she'd become too possessive and would hurt some other child some other time. For such a big family, this would create problems between all other children. I am saying this out of real concern for her...

I remember when my son was 5-1/2 and his little sister was around 6 months old. I was away from home that time in a different country, and naturally the little one was given a little more attention by the mother. My son was too much attached to me, and my extended absence was unbearable for him. My son wasn't also keeping good health at that time and his medicines' side-effects made him a lot angry at others... but he was the little sister's best friend... he cared for her so much and loved her so much that whenever he was angry and would seemingly become uncontrollable, he'd go near the baby and would smile at her and speak to her with such kindness, that everyone present would become amazed at such love and transformation of emotions! Even when the mother had the little girl in her laps, my son never objected; in fact he loved that situation where he could be talking and joking with both of them, or simply be with them in real togetherness! :)

Children would become violent at their siblings if they thought that the father or mother was showering some extra attention to the others, but that's exactly the time to make them more understanding and loving and caring... Some children are natural at understanding and solving this huge puzzle, but others need to be taught tactfully.

God bless you and your lovely family!

Yea. I spread my love around as much as possible. I hold all of them at least a little each day... Of course ALOT since the situation :)

I always love reading your threads in the lounge :)
I can imagine the situation to some extent haha :D

Liked the story,

Is she the one in your avatar?

And that's at two, I pity her brother, he hasn't got a chance.

I'm not going to tell you how to parent your own children, as I don't even have any myself. EVEN if I did have any, I'm still not going to tell you how to raise your child. That's like me telling a man how to have sex.

Anyways, that's pretty funny - I lol'd myself.

Oh, please.

I spanked my children with a belt three times on the rearend when they misbehaved from the time they were toddlers until it was more effective to take away the phone and Video Games.

It taught them that there were consequences for their actions, and these consequences were unpleasant if your behavior was unacceptable.

They don't have psychological problems, turn into serial killers or anything.

Discipline is not beating, and beating is not discipline.
