I'm really curious as I didn't make any money yet.

How long until you made your first buck using Instagram?
How much did you make?
Which monetizing method did you use?
How many followers did you have and what was the average like ratio?

I haven't done it yet, but I've seen a lot of people around the forums saying they make money by selling shoutouts, promoting products, selling products for affiliate commission, etc. There's plenty of stuff around here on the forums, you just have to take a second and search.

I'm going to start monetizing at around 30k followers. Best of luck to you!

The first time for me was two years ago when I was managing some accounts for clients. It's only recently when I had my first shoutout and it felt so good! Haha!

1. Took me like 5 Month (?) Never intended to make money with my account in the first 5 Month so i didnt had any followers/bots running. After 5 Month got a Shoutout by a 40K account and instant got more followers/fans/interaction
2. around 3K USD profit. Never spend anything on shoutouts or marketing for IG
3. I have my own product. I am an Artist so i have a landingpage where people can order stuff that i will create for them, virtual goods.
4.Currently aiming for 11K Followers. So you can earn money with small followings as well.

Things that i put focus on:
- Community management: Take Followers seriously, interact with them, start conversations, get involved, build trust
- Be nice to everyone
- Have a online personality that people see/like

Hope that helps!
Good luck with your IG journey.
Cheers

Yes.

Thanks, like i said, as far as i tested its all about beein authentic and building a connection to your followers.
it sounds so "simple" but its quite a lot of manual work.

But if you invest Time into Building engaging and solid followers you convert them into fans. And that is where you gain reach and new followers because under very picture i post i will find 5 to 15 comments from people that feel like they know me and then i get a high interaction with these people.
If someone "new" looks at the picture and sees the comments, they feel more interested in me and my work and are much more likely to buy one of my products.

My margins are from 2USD to 85USD but its quite a clever method i would say so i am quite happy and looking for ways to scale up.

Cheers

I made my first buck (or twenty) a few months ago. It was only twenty from a random person who Direct Messaged me inquiring about my rates for shoutouts. Only being at 20k followers, I tried to act as professional as I could. In reality I was beyond giddy at the opportunity to start making money way before expected! The average like ratio was probably around 4%.
Right now I have been growing slowly so only at 33k followers, but signed up for a few shoutout selling sites and made around $100 since then. Which considering I didn't really think about making money doing it in the first place is great!

Your niche is probably popular and in demand to get shoutouts at 33k followers. Good job! Keep it up!

First one was last week (20usd) for a shoutout.
This week 3 shoutouts and more in the middle (negotiating) for 50usd (pack of 2 each one, so 25*2*3).
Started almost 4 weeks ago.
In comb I have 52k right now (19k the account I started almost a month ago and the other one I bought at 25k 2 weeks ago with 33k right now) and they contacted me via DM, via web or here in private message.
Declined some shoutouts because it wasn't niche related or almost fake accounts.
Also declined three offers for both accounts in the last few days.

Woah 19k in a month. May I ask how you achieved that?

Hey, it's gonna be 26k aprox (24,5k right now and one more day until the end of my first month).

Read my journey and you will get what you ask :-)

Thanks!

Actually my first money from instagram was selling followers on fiverr :D

My first time doing money on ig was this month. Wanted to try anything until I had 60k followers (60k is just a number that I love cause was the first time that I do money on internet was with 60k followers/subscribers/ on other social network)

I post an offer like 5 or 6 days the whole month and have a revenue of $1k (Like $400 profit).

I was just testing waters cause don't want to burn this opportunity so I'm building a product that I can convert 100% of revenue on profit.
