Advertise in (local) newspapers with something like this:

After they go to your website they have to fill in a CPA lead to get the ticket.
Off course they won't get it, but hey you have another lead

You can push them more by having a coundown timer or a display saying only 23 tickets available.

Let m sign up for a news letter or whatever so you can collect opt-in and use it a couple of times.

You can do this with new movies, music, products that have to come out.

No i know it is not new, before i got all the shit over me, but just trying to bring in some motivation.. you can do this with unlimited products and unlimited ways offline/online/ social networks etc.

You might not want to say first 100 people cause they'll probably complain to the newspaper, especially if you said there were 23 left. I'd instead say giving away 350 movie tickets, or if in a city 5000, etc.

You are correct about that, you have to check how big you area is, also make the (23 left) dynamic, so after a few hours it will be 20 or something like that.
Online should work fine to.

I highly doubt newspapers will allow you to do this.
I ran an offer for a free gift card which was an email submit. I got 0 leads and about 40 clicks. In theory, it should work really well right? Bunch of people read the paper. Unless your buying a big full page ad, i doubt you will get a lot of hits. I boguht a 2"x2" display ad and it was at the top of the 3rd page.

i doubt you will get many leads. newspapers have a dwindling following, and the regulars dont really look at the ads. especially if it said first 100 people get a free movie ticket. people automatically think "whats the catch?" or will just be to lazy to go to the site.

Use it with anything , not only movie tickets that was just a sample.

I think I'll try this on a few concerts, great idea. I have some twitter accounts that should be good for this.
