The End of PAA (people also ask) automated sites is here, seems like google manually push them down

i see that websites that are using AI to rewrite answers and adding intro and conclusion and some other parts in the article are lasting longer in additional to an aged domain and a reasonable published amount of articles per day/week/month it's gonna be way harder for google to see your website as spammy.

5 of these sites belonged to the same owner and were posted everywhere (+ I am sure they used the same GSC) so no wonder they got hit. There are still hundreds if not thousands PAA sites working.

No, using the questions in headings is the way to go.

Exactly.

That's the mistake, you shouldn't scrape other PAA sites, you should scrape PAAs directly. I have actually noticed few PAA sites that scraped other PAA sites and included them as a source... that's no-no and they were punished fast.

PAAs are still alive and well.

Here is list of 23 PAA sites that still work, please note that similarweb's traffic is more accurate than semrush, but similarweb doesn't have july stats while semrush does.

You can tag any mod and if they will be kind enough, I will send them the urls to check and to see I am not making things up.
why are you afraid to show us the domain? similar web is absolutely bul**hit. nobody use similar web when it comes to SEO at least. and where you see? where google statement that if a group of website are in the same GSC, if one get hit, then everything get hit?

i have almost 700 list of PAA website and 90% of them are get hit by may 2022 update. of course i agree that PAA sites works but for now? no longer for long terms.

1) Afraid of showing us the domains? Maybe I don't want to out them?
2) Similarweb has the most accurate traffic estimates, way better than ahrefs or semrush lol
3) Ask @Preon , all his sites under GSC got hit

1. all of your mentioned domain are in my list already dude, i know hows they doing
2. simliarweb is better then semrush or ahrefs? i dont know which SEO world you are living? may be in mars!!
3. He leave lot of footprint, i have 3 sites, one of them get hit by may 2022 and 2 of them still doing fine. but i know they will get down anytime

1. Congratulations? You asked me why I dont show urls and I told you the reason.
2. For traffic estimates? Totally. Nothing beats similarweb.
3. No he doesn't. The other sites on his GSC that got hit with manual penalty were empty sites without any posts. Sometimes the manual reviewers just penalise everything.

How do you index your PPA sites? my PPA sies don't index. Thanks

That is a big big red flag. How it is THE way to go?
Exactly all those red flags are the reason google is taking down these sites.
And now once google has started taking these down so people need to change the approach.
If you don't care then that's a different thing.
We often keep saying to apply our own twists to methods this is good example why we should.

I'm adding PAA to one of my sites (tech site) but manually. This means creating a box with the questions and answers. The numbers of Q/A varies on each article, but I try to include at least 3 to 5. The question is the same as the search on Google but I rewrite the answer in my own words. Is this ok for Google? If it works fine and I see the traffic increase, I'll try the same thing on other sites I own too.

you can not spun it, rewrite or those heading, because if you want to? you need to pay at least $30k to GPT3 or ai based re writer.

i scrapped findwanyanswer in january that has almost 20 million of article in their site, lets say each article has 20 to 30 questions, those huge number, you have no chance for re write. all you can do is scrape and post

yes you are right, if they can survive at least 3, or 4 month, they easily have $100k or $200k in their bank :D

Why would you use GPT3 when you can just build your own models. GPT3 is a rip off. It's 1000x cheaper to fine tune your own model to do anything you want to do, just as good as gpt3.

Most of them got hit because they're duplicate content and really crappy answers.

Try creating a PAA site with content created from your own trained models and everything totally changes. How long did anyone think just scraping and uploading chunks of content was going to work? lol.

As if everyone knows how to train their own model?

GPT3 is the largest and most accurate model (davinci) and it cost them between $4.6m to $12m to train it. How can anyone here possibly build anything better? Not even talking about the salary the geniuses get. They didn't receive $1B investment for no reason.

I'm confident you are familiar with spreadsheets. Creating the input for training your own model is nothing else than creating such a spreadsheet.

You are not creating a base model from scratch. @splishsplash is referring to training a model ON TOP of a base model. Simple rewriting tasks do not require a huge model like Davinci/NeoX. Instructions on how to do so can be found on the network in various places, there are also vendors offering access to GPT-J (and below) at monthly flat fees.

Why would you use GPT3 when you can just build your own models.
how do you build your own model? Do you mean fine-tuning something like GPT-J or NeoX?

I'm not saying it's not possible, just pretty hard without a PhD or hiring someone who know a lot about ML and these guys tend to charge quite a bit of money. Plus the GPU time.

I believe that @splishsplash is talking about fine-tuning your GPT3 model not creating it yourself.

If you got all questions in your subheadings it's a big big red flag.
Convert questions to simple headings.

Use an ai writer instead.
What is the best ai writer please?
