We were at 90% totality where I am. It was super cloudy all morning and most of the afternoon, with intermittent heavy rains. The peak was supposed to be about 2:45pm, so at around 2:15pm I left my desk and got into my car and drove to the parking lot of an abandoned mall and set up my gear (my Mom's old DSLR camera with a UV filter and a tripod). Cloud cover was making it to where you couldn't see much of anything. Then, all of a sudden it started getting a little darker, and for about fifteen seconds, the clouds parted.
Right before the clouds made a gap:
