The easiest MANUAL linkbuilding?

What is the easiest and fastest way, say to get 20 high quality backlinks with anchor text?

I thought of a few but ain't sure if they'll work:
a) register 3-4 blogs (wordpress.com, blogspot.com and publish a post with backlinks
b) register for a free trial on backlink providers

I am sure these are not the fastest/most convenient way to get links. Any other ideas?

I've actually gotten better results from manual link building than from about half the services I've tried here. Buy or find yourself a list of auto-approve blogs with high PR inner pages. Usually the auto-approve ones with high PR inner pages require registration but I think it's worth the extra time.

About a week ago I did 16 high-PR backlinks to 4 different sites. Each site has seen at least a 40+ rank increase, and one was in a very competitive niche (40k exact search, 2.7 mil results, now on page 4).
