Okay I know a lot of shit has been passed out there that this thing does not exist, yes even Cutts himself denied it [ I knew some of the google guys are here, even Cutts himself is a member ] But to tell you the truth! it is REAL

I have bought only a dozen domains and a few hostings in my internet marketing career and I have had 60% of them experience the following supressed rankings, penalties or whatchamacallit sandbox by Googs

+30
+60
+90
+120
+200
+500
+900
+999 [ which i actually like since I usually get a decent traffic if I am placed here ]

Now the only way I have find a solution in getting a new domain out of the sandbox is to mix up the anchor text and try to pour in few dedicated high PR backlinks with only the domain address http://www.domain.com as the link itself with no anchor, but this process takes fucking long! it usually gets me the next PR update [usually every 3-4 months] to get my rankings back!!! worst is the next next PR update.

Now last december I bought a domain and plug in some of the best stuff I can write and promote the hell out of it, by 2 weeks time we did hit front page, number 4 to be exact in a 90 MILLION competition 2 worded premium keyword in Google, then exactly as day 20 hits the site is in the outer rims of 500!

I know I shouldn't whine about it and move on, but hell no! the opt in emails that I got and the CPA conversions in ranking for the top 10 is sure worth the 20 day ride! now the site has been sandbox for about 2 weeks, playing around 500-700+, sucks to see that my neighbors in that area are worthless shit and there is my site all alone, heavily optimized and all....yes we have 6,000 backlinks for nothing. dayummm

SO anyways, can you guys and gals cheer me up by sharing your sandbox experience and how did you deal with it, cause I am sure sick of Google taking away my prestige in the top rankings!

Share the time, effort and some blackhat techniques which you did try to get your arse off this penalty they impose....

Thanks

How do you know if you got sandboxed? I think one of my blogs got that. It was indexed for 2 days, then got deindexed, probably because I submitted so many blogdirectories and rss feeds.

easy. first you are ranking on your targeted search terms, then the following day you are not. If you are not doing SERP checking then you might not even noticed it

What if you get deindexed, is that a sign of sandbox, or a sign of google ban? Or is it just a temporary fluke that my website got deindexed after 2 days.

Furthremore, could this be because I am hosting 9 blogs and 1 CSM on the same domain/host? I host a csm on the toplevel domain and 9 blogs as sublevel -sub niche blogs. Could thsi be the reason why? None of them seem to be getting indexed.

getting deindexed is not sandbox, deindexed means you've been banned. Sandboxing is just a quick drop in rankings for no good reason.

xbox360gurl70s, do you use aged domains? If yes then, the penalty that you experience is because of the fast building of backlinks, not sandbox.
I experienced the same penalty these days, but google brought me back to the kindergarden, cuz of the fast building of backlinks.

If you don't use aged domains, start from now. you will save yourself a lot of headaches

I have had so much trouble with this... my site for my name JoelGoldstein.com got hit hard and I can't get it back up...

I used new domains all the time! bought the ones that people never tend to even lay their eyes on, then I just insert a keyword there like http://wwww.keywordhere.domain.com. Yes I feel your pain googlemarketing101. it is a bitch isn't it???? One day you are smiling your way to the bank, the following weeks it's hell.... usually a PR update or 2 will get you out

Sandbox definitely exists. I have so many sites that I am kept busy writing articles. I don't have time to worry about the box.

No worries, I am sure your site will be up there right away. :)

There also seems to be a positive penalty. I think some people call it Freshbot, where you receive artificially high rankings at the start. I am not sure exactly what but if you got rank 4, you will probably end up in the top 10 after the penalty expires. That is, unless you keep promoting heavy then you can probably get up to top 3.

Just work on other projects and don't worry about it.

Alexander it depends. If you have a site that was indexed for 6 months and then you were dropped you are probably banned. If it is a relatively new site it can be deindexed and indexed several times.

my sites losing rank by the minute. Ive got st@tc0unter and when I check my recent searches and follow the link.. it brings me to a 1-10 google page with the searched for keyword in the box -- only thing is my page is not on that page any longer. its not on the next, or the next or the next. I stopped on pg 5 as anything passed that is irrelevant.

at first I was ranking well for alot of 2 word phrases. that disappeard. next I was ranking on similar 3 word phrases -- thats gone. now im ranking on some obscure 3 & 4 word phrases -- including mis-spells BUT those are disappearing.

I dont know what up...

xbox360gurl70s, buy domains with PR3+ and age from DP if you don't have any other source of domains.

if you do more than 1000 backlinks per 2 weeks, G will penalize you if you don't have enough authority.
I've seen that before

Are you guys using Gaggle ANALytics by any chance, 'cause I think it has a lot to do with Gaggle tracking your efforts?

Same happened to me some time ago, i had a 3 months old domain with no backlinks and i got around 1k backlinks in 2 weeks. I went 4th on first page and after a few days i went back to page 30+. What i did is ... i got a PR 5 gov backlink (nofollow tho but it doesn't matter) , an PR 7 backlink on adobe forums and around 10 edu backlinks (not forum/blog spam). After that i went back on first page when those links got indexed.

i think buying aged domains is a good way to go too....or buying exisiting sites...

I have a site that had the -30 and then the -60 and now... who knows. Pleading with google does little even if you pull all the seo out of the site and file a request with them. The only cure I have found is to take the punished site and put it on a new domain. Change the homepage on the old site to point to your spam sites and no-follow any internal links. Thereafter change the backlinks that you can and add new ones to the new site then spam the hell out of the old site. The new site will rank within 3 months and the old will never rank well again but will become an asset for link juice.

I think I might have the most extreme sandboxification story but yer never know...

I have one sub-domain (3 years old now) that I initially promoted using ArticleMarketer. Big, big mistake. From front page in Google (yes, Freshbot does exist) it completely disappeared. Deindexed in a heartbeat.

I carried on building links, slow but sure. Three years later that little sub now ranks #1 in Yahoo for all my chosen keyphrases. Not first page, or #5, but #1 in each case and they're decent traffic terms. It's still deindexed in Google.

The moral of the story has to be 1) don't blast the same article out to a gazillion sites on a new domain and 2) once you're G-fucked, you stay that way.

HMMMM even if i`m little offtopic do you really think hes on BHW ? :D , hard hard to believe that's true but ...

Anyway back to the topic , over the last few years I tested loads of things , wh/bh what I can tell with sure is not any difference between them lol . Alteast on my eyes , let me to explain how's come this , bought one day 3 domains ( same keywords different extensions .com .net .org - long tail keyword ) at dot com I installed wordpress , took 3-4 articles and 2 videos from youtube bookmarked and everything few days later was on index , other two domains I put it on cloacking and loaded like 60K keywords from same niche like .com , forwarded traffic there . Guess what ? cloacked pages keep up on google index for 2 months the wordpress site got banned after 1 week .....

We have a large number of autoblogs and continue to build more weekly. I've had a number of them move up and down google (especially in the beginning) and a few get deindexed.

The number one reason we have determined thru testing that our site get deinidexed or penalized is because:

Too many links too fast (I've said it before and I'll say it again....just because I can do something doesn't mean I should do it) Dumping a 1000 backlinks to a brand new site over a 2 week period does not make sense...therefore is bad...it does not matter how you build them either.

Next on the list of no-nos...getting all your links from the same spot

I know this was not on the topic list...but with the new fad of autoblogs hitting the streets duplicate content is another factor....instead of just dumping shit content on your site....look for ways to get content that others are not using....maybe even add a little bit to your auto generated content to make it different than everything else out there.

Using the techniques we use WILL cause some side effects...like banned or sandboxed sites.
