The dreaded CPA required phone call, what do they ask?

If you guys are still wanting answers to these questions I have a post in cpa explaining how to get accepted and what they ask

When they ask how you drive traffic tell them you pay your friends cash to sign up for offers. They love that!

Everytime I have talked to aff managers on the phone it has not been a issue, they simply want to hear how you promote, and they want to know you're who you say you are by confirming your address etc.

It all depends on the network, the one you're talking about, market leverage seems to be a more lenient network then others, so you can call them they are very friendly :D

ROI Rocket was the most hardcore with me....answer your phone when they call. How I was going to drive traffic, when I was going to have a website/landingpage/microsite up/ if I was going to use incentives....things like that. It's easy man...it's advertising ;)

Just tell them you market all offers through PPC (adwords) & do health offers (also lie that you are working with other top networks, just name some)
redirect.php

Just tell them you are an experience ppc marketer with adwords msn yahoo etc to avoid the basic question what website will you be promoting our offers on etc...

They will just verify the information that you have filled in the application form.
I have applied to 6 different affiliate accounts and spoke to their manager and have 100% success rate. Its not at all difficult to get approved by affiliate networks.

Thanks

I just wanted to add something. I used to think they if the CPA network called you and you missed the call they would deny. This is not 100% true. I applied to Marketleverage on V-day (saturday) and they called me the same day. Werid I didnt think anyone would be calling on a saturday. I was takign a bath. I called back like 20 minutes after and got a voicemail, they must have been closed. SO I left a voicemail saying I am sorry I missed their call I will call them monday from work. So we will see if missing their call factors into getting denied or getting in. Just my 2 cents.

I think it depends on the network and who happens to call you. Some have just asked me basic stuff like whats your site and how much traffic do you get. Others have grilled the sh*t out of me asking for traffic log screenshots, how I drive traffic, what offers I plan to promote, etc. Just don't put too much pressure on yourself or you will sound nervous and get them suspicious.

I applied to Copeac and got the following questions:
1. How did you hear about us?
2. How do you drive traffic?
3. What other affiliate networks are you working with?

I had a couple of websites listed in my application, all with minimal traffic (although PR 2 and 3). It's pretty easy - I think they just want to know that you won't be spamming. Little do they know... :)

lol i just talk like myself. dont try and sound fake
i use language that i use like "dude, bro, hell yeah, legit, yea yea"
i dont change my voice in any way
if i dont know an answer to a question i tell em "to be honest, i dont really know the answer to that"
without being asked i tell them my goals as an internet marketer
i always end the phone convo with something like "hey man im gunna go surf for a bit, then ill jump back on and send some traffic if you accept me. peace" (if its the AM-afternoon) if its night ill end it with "hey man im gunna go kick some ass in halo. will send traffic in a lil bit if i get accepted. later"(if its night)
remember wat time zone you are in compared to where they are

Hi mate.

I just applied to join with CPA network, MarketLeverage. They required to call by phone.
I'm curious.. What do they ask?

Please, make a question list with the answer suggestion, here.

Thank you.

Just mention "John Chow - something" when they call...they'll love you. I joined when I had about 50 subscribers on an old blog and they went on and one about him.

Just got my first phone call from COPEAC. I called them back after they left a VM on my work phone. I was completely honest with them. I told them I'm not going to BS him about having this much experience as I've just been researching and learning about CPA offers. They asked how I planned on building traffic and I said I'd be building natural traffic first to test out things before dropping money on AdWords like an idiot not knowing what I'm doing. They asked if I'm with any other affiliates and I said this was my first phone call. Got approved.

What verticals do you promote hanged me up a long time ago... I had never seen taht vocab b4 so I was like UHHHHHH

Would have been more funny to say no sorry I only promote horizontally, what angles do you normally promote at? :)

This is my first post here, I'm so excited! My account was finally approved... lol

I used to work in adult, still do actually, and no affiliate company ever called to "interview" us. Not even the biggest multi-million dollar companies in the biz. Mainstream is so much more complicated, I can't believe they actually call and ask detailed questions.

I'm from the U.S so I speak good English, I can easily set up a wordpress site and make up some kind of mainstream blog etc, I just have EXTREME anxiety talking to people over the phone to the point where I sweat etc and I will probably need to practice talking for hours talking to myself before I can even pick up the phone any of these cpa companies. It's nerve wracking for me to have to talk to people over the phone, probably akin to someone else skydiving or bungee jumping or something. I just hate it!!! I mean, I am actually afraid to talk to people over the phone. It's a good thing I read this topic, otherwise I would have no clue as to wtf "verticals" are... I never heard of it being called that way. I thought it was just "niches" or "type of sites"... lol

But how to you start such an conversation? Just like: "Hi, I'm XXX I recently applied for your network and I wanted to know if I got approved"?

I just signed up for Azoogle (as an International applicant), and they provided a .doc file with the questions they intend to ask when they call me, but in the document itself, it says because of the time differences, they don't intend to call me and ask to fill out the questionaire instead (but last time I signed up, they called me anyway). A bit over-the-top I reckon, heaps and heaps of questions, some of the things, I'm like what the... :)
