The domain was removed from Google search results because it was classified as an iGaming-related site. [south KOR]
I’ve heard that there are ways to bypass Lumen in cases like this, and I’d like to hear your opinions.

Due to a warning message (related to Lumen), we changed our existing domain and rebuilt the site on a completely new domain without using redirects.


As a result, we had to give up all the backlinks and keyword authority (ranking assets) that were built on the previous domain, which is quite disappointing.


Has anyone experienced something similar?
I’d appreciate any advice on realistic response strategies.

Lumen based removals are basically a dead end. New domain was the right move, there’s no real bypass long term.

Only option is rebuild clean and keep everything low profile, redirects usually just drag the penalty over.
 
It looks like the main homepage itself has been removed from search results, but internal pages within the site—such as free boards, discussion forums, review boards, and information pages—are still appearing in Google search results. That makes me wonder whether Lumen actions are actually effective. Will these pages eventually become subject to removal as well?
 
Bypassing Google's block for iGaming is nearly impossible without changing the core of the project. Starting fresh with a new domain without redirects is the standard but painful move, as you lose all your history and backlinks.

Radically change your content to informational (reviews, news) with no direct calls to gamble. Forget about the old domain. Any connection to it will get the new one blocked.

Cloaking and mirror sites are too risky and require constant technical upkeep. The best long-term strategy is to build traffic from other sources (social media, messengers) independent of Google, or to completely reformat the site for a permitted topic.
 
it is not possible to find a workaround about google igaming...... unfortunately it will not be possible to get around these rules
 
recovery is extremely unlikely, starting fresh on a clean domain is usually the only realistic move, quite disappointing but just focus your energy on rebuilding

Plus, I would ask the sites that linked to your past site to link to your new site.

@TonyWang0 the fact internals still show doesn’t mean Lumen is weak, it just means the classifier hit the root intent first. Once crawl cycles + re-eval catch up, those pages usually get suppressed too, especially if nav + internal links still point to gambling intent

Subdomain + 301 tricks work for DMCA churn sites because it’s reactive, Lumen is proactive + regional, KR is brutal

Clean rebuild you already did is the only sustainable move, but the key is intent shaping: start informational only, no money terms, no funnels, let it age, then very slowly introduce commercial layers off-Google

Anything tied back to the old domain, even link graph overlap, risks dragging the flag over..

In the end, it seems like there’s no clear or definitive way to completely prevent it. :(
