These are my thoughts on Twitter accounts where quality of the followers is more important than the quantity. Here is the formula: Don't auto-follow anyone. Let's say you auto-follow only users if they have more than 500 followers. Additionally you can check the first 10 tweets of the user and see how many of them are RT's. The more RT's = the higher the chance they would retweet one of your bits. And now you need some good content that people really would retweet. Let's say you auto-followed 1000 people with 500 followers. If only 5 of them retweet your tweet you potentially reach 2500 people. Of course 500 followers is not a big number in Twitter. You can do the math (If you got 1000 followers with 1000 followers and 10 retweets you reach 10000 people). Also this easily adds up, as people with more followers are more likely to get retweeted. You just droped the first stone. Peace.
