The guy is the biggest dis-info agent in the game. The shit he recommends just does not work.

Cutts gives pretty good info and updates about on-page seo, it's worth reading his statements.

But the fact that link spam works is G's dirty little secret, and Cutts has to throw people off the scent. I'd do the same thing.

You cant blame him though, that is his job. Im sure we all have taken actions in business that have resulted in someone else not being happy, it is just business. Of course you can choose to dislike someone due to their actions, but if this course of personal insults (tongue in cheek or not) is continuously pursued, the standard of the forum will decrease. Intelligence is replaced by insults, the start of the end.

There's a thing called freedom of speech. If someone hates/dislikes Matt Cutts, it's their right to say so. If you disagree with them, you are free to say that too. I really don't see your problem with it.

And please stop trying to turn BHW into a huffy puffy world, where everyone loves each other and everyone is positive all day long. You know as good as I do, that this does not reflect reality.

Matt just works for google but what makes me hate him is that he's damn too good knowing our tricks of the trade. Though it is his job, I just wish he be so kind not to expose everything he knows about our tricks. - sucks..

apart from that.. matt is just like any other human worth ignoring. lol

anyway, this is not a hate statement and I just wish he can't figure out how to combat new BHW methods and stop then get bored reading stuff on forums. hehehehe peace out!

Personally, I think some of it is a bit of fun, but others take it too far, mainly the immature members.

Without wanting to sound like a Google fanboy, their spam team does a pretty good job. I use Google as my search engine (I imagine the majority of members here do), and I would get pissed off if every time I searched to try and find information the top 10 results were all completely unrelated CPA offers. If the spam team weren't trying to combat blackhat techniques then every competitive search term would just be people with viagra websites.

Honestly, you don't have to believe everything Matt Cutts/Google say, but it's their search engine and you have to play by their rules for long term success. I think most members here who know their SEO stuff know that blackhat loopholes all get plugged eventually.

Having said that, something tells me Matt Cutts really isn't going to cry himself to sleep over a few kids on here calling him Matt Cunts....

But there's one thing that needs to be added. Sorry to burst the "integrity" bubble on a site called BLACK HAT WORLD loool Ppl on here -and legitimately so- talk about spamming and cheating ToS and SEO and PPC and whatnot. Today alone I read discussions about methods (spare me the blackhat Vs fraud non-sense for once, pls..) uploading fake software or movies or other copyrighted material (aka illegal) to content lock, spreading false rumors about celebrities, harvesting unsolicited emails of ppl to send insurance offers and even breaking the ToS of those of our kind by blanking/faking the ref of non-incent networks to maximize OUR own profits without any respect of the consequences. And it's fairly mellow these days just because the CL, bulk-mailing, PPI and eho boards have disappeared from the public eye..

Also, I would refrain from addressing individual views as "we", as already suggested. For instance, I personally find the terms "egay", "gaypal", "matt cunts" ((+ many other more explicit ones) pretty funny and think their use has no connection whatsoever with the profits you're gonna make (unlike someone seemed to suggest or imply) and I seem to be living proof of this.. lol

Every time you refer to Matt Cutts or paypal or ebay... do you use the junior high translations? I don't think you do.

It's mostly indicative of the age of the poster who uses the terms, as being young. And also I can't help but notice that the Matt Cunters don't seem like the brightest bunch on BHW. I would bet money on a huge correlation between being broke/not making much, and using those terms.

Don't want to argue on petty things, because I have better things to do and genuinely understand the concern of OP even though I think it's out of place on this board as I already discussed and out of place when not totally illogical on a black hat forum for at least a few good reasons.

To address your comment hopefully in a constructive way, it's irrelevant how often, I or anybody else does it. The point raised by OP is if doing it can be linked somehow to a lack of integrity or lack of professionalism and I'll reiterate my opinion, that needs to be taken as such, that it's not.

I also perfectly understand your empirical observations about the demographics that supposedly use these terms and respect them, but I disagree, that's all.

This forum's position in regards to making fun of others is fair play. Although, excessive profanity and such is just poor taste.
