Hello everyone, noob here. I finally put up the time to verify and do my first post here after a few months of lurking. I just wanna say BHW helped a lot so her'es my intro story:
I used to work in the creative field (animation and filmmaking) but ever since the COVID thingy happened, things changed drastically leading me to adapt in order to survive. Luckily, my friend offered to take me in and work for him in his company as an in-house off-page SEOer and thus started my SEO journey. Going in I completely had no idea what I was going to be doing, and to make matters worse, my friend aggrandized my credentials saying I'm an expert in the field presumably to get me hired quicker. Needless to say, it worked and now Im a fish out of water.
So, to compensate, I started researching, and realized that their strategies lie mostly on the gray (darker shade) hat realm and I didnt even know what those meant then. At first I was adamant as i was very idealistic about my view of things but soon realized its not as bad as I thought it was. Then, I stumbled upon BHW - and finally, through example, it made me understand what on earth I was doing. It helped me use the tools properly, and cautioned me on things that I should be careful about, etc.
Now, I would say I kind of have a base-level understanding of how things work. Not yet to the level that my friend ought me to be, but slowly getting there.
