The challenges faced by SEO professionals

The main challenge is to understand that nowadays, all Google's officially released updates, are only just on paper, and not implemented as far as any action in Google is concerned. Nowadays, Google's algorithms are so madly "blended" and on steroids, that even Google's own tech team(s) are confused and clueless about Google's algorithms, so they (Google) simply just keep fingering their algorithms frequently, without being able to program their algorithms in any effective manner, and that is why nowadays, people are seeing wild breakdance moves in the SERPs. However, due to Google simply fingering their algorithms frequently, gullible people falsely believe that "Oh, my website plunged due to that recent Google update" !!!. So, in other words, the main challenge now is to understand that nowadays SEO must not be done as per what Google releases as their "official" updates.

indeed, same condition.

This chart that you gave is only relevant if the SEOs are using a strategy that somehow tries to get an unfair advantage over Google's guidelines.

Maybe the better way to go about all of this so you don't have to go through unnecessary drama and frustration, as well as wasted resources of adapting to changes, is to stick by Google's own guidelines.

Google's Webmaster Guidelines are open to the public.

It lays out the best practices for presenting content, tagging content, and creating a navigation structure for your website.

It also lays out dos and don'ts regarding off-page SEO

Put simply, you have the framework that you need to get going and get successful.

The bottom line really is value.

You have to understand that Google's customer is not online publishers.

Instead, their customers are people who use the Google search engine to find content online.

If those people are happy, then Google is happy.

That's why Google came out with their Webmaster Guidelines that presumably lead to more happy end users.

Stick by those guidelines, and you'd be surprised as to how well rewarded you would be.

As far as I know, I stick with their guidelines in terms of my own sites.

And based on how well my recent sites have been doing, I am convinced that you don't even have to build backlinks for you to do well.

You just have to be patient and, most importantly, you have to deliver the value that Google's users are looking for.

I know this is not a popular opinion, but if you want your website to last a long time and you want to save a tremendous amount of money "adapting your strategy" to Google's changes, you might want to try this approach.
