I found this an interesting read.

Canva grew phenomenally and is still going strong.

They concentrate heavily on SEO and have around 75+ people working in their SEO team.

One of the major factors being the amount and quality of high DA/PA/TF links, linking back to the site.

No doubt canva grew so strongly as it is incredibly easier to use, and even a free version is better than most of the other paid image designing tools.

Seems like they purchased a lot of brands and pointed them to their website

Very interesting read; thanks for sharing. Great example of SEO that’s been made to look fairly white-hat and above board but in reality they’re doing the same thing as everyone else; just on a massive scale.

That is the interesting part.

With the right budget, any keyword can be ranked for.

Spend enough on links with semi-decent content and you can win.

Obviously they have a huge budget to spend on and that's what set us apart. Great read nonetheless.

It's just media link buying, like has been mentioned they clearly have a massive budget. This is pretty similar to all big companies where there is large search traffic to be gained.

Canva is all about user growth and user engagement, to keep their investors happy and to keep growing user bbase. By creating content for searches for free templates etc on the net they get more signups and thus get to their goal.
