Manual is good but takes a long time to get the number of comments you want. I advise you try automated like GSA SER tool. However, you first manually write the comment that the tool will keep on repeating

In my opinion manual commenting is better. But i would suggest you to research more on both. It is better to choose for yourself than depending on someones comment.

manual commenting is better than using software because less numbers of quality comments do good than quantity with low quality.
