Today I am feeling cool, as titled suggested, I will out a website, this website is the biggest blackhat website in 30 years of internet history I accidentally found when do searching, yeah I know what you are thinking: bullshit, how could that be possible? How do ya know that?! Well, yeah lets see!

I guess you have noticed the traffic source, mainly from Taiwan and Hong Kong, why? Because they use traditional Chinese language in their daily life.

Before I explain you why this matters and why this special strategy worked, lets give this site a simple check to see what it looks alike:

If you don't know this website, it is one of the most popular phone apps/news site in China mainland, and the users of this app is at least 1/3 billion. This site/app contains everything you need, from news to articles, near everything, and everyone in China can publish things on it to earn money, you can regard it like facebook page or whatever, this is a paramount super APP in China. And another similar one is Baidu.com, I guess you literally heard about it, its biggest and only search engine and one of the top tech company in China.

Oh wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So you know Tiktok right? How dare you don't know it! Well, and surprise!!!!!! this super APP toutiao.com is belong to the parent company of Tiktok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You get it?!


You are confused as hell now: but why? You didn't explain anything! Why this scraped website is in top-1000 and earn millions per year and for years, and why Google hasn't do anything to it?


A very important knowledge behind this: the language problem.


China has billion+ people, and they only speak Chinese simplified! But in Hong Kong and Taiwan, or anyone use Chinese traditional language in this world, this 2 language is a bit different! Of course you can understand both no matter you are hong konger or Chinese, its very minor difference like you simply draw more lines on a character. For example, give it a feel:

HERE IS THE TRICK PART:


Toutiao.com as I said contains everything and more than 93000000++++ posts as you can guess, kknews.cc scraped it 24/7 and use somewhat Chinese Simplified ---> Chinese traditional translator to make it unique to Google! But its far from a translator, its not translate, its just like you turn "1" to "one"!!!!!!!!!

Because articles original source is simplified Chinese, but now all articles scraped and turned into traditional ones! How Google can tell that?! He can't.

The characters you can see is though different, but people can tell its plagiarized at very first glance in less than 1s, all 93000000 articles are plagiarized from toutiao.com and this website put adsense and earn million if not millions per year for years!!!!!!!

wait, yeah Google can't tell difference but will any Googlers know this?!?!?! Hell yes!

And in fact, someone said in another forum that in a Google ad conference, a Googler said this website is 100% plagiarized Chinese mainland toutiao.com, but since its tooooooooo bigggggggggg, if remove it, the search experience for Chinese traditional speaking people around this world will be impacted a lot, wtf? I don't need to paste that claim in here, no need anymore. Its Just a claim no idea real or not. But for years, it is smoothly earn millions via adsense, I doubt its real!

2.) the contents are provided by site owners yet sometimes they'd also cut excerpts from sites and show it on their first search results preventing users from entering sites.

so, with their AI tech, they could have easily scrape other news site and rewrite it on their google news.

Exactly, and this is exactly same as you can't apply adsense with a pure image site, but meanwhile, big image sharing sites like 4-chan etc can blatantly put it on. When you are big enough, you are the LAW.
