The Big Game Day - Offline Method!

anyone looking to do this for their local city? I decided I will try this for the upcoming hockey playoff season. Will post results. interested if anyone else is going to try this, we can share methods.

Hopefully its not too late, season starts this week I should get my ads printed tonight

I was wondering the same thing, this is an old thread but a great idea. Maybe some old school bhw know the story of some of these users?
 
I have played this idea out many times, and have actually gotten really close to pulling the trigger on this method..

(cpa+stadiums)

I live next to 2 major NHL and MLB stadiums, and a skip to the next couple towns over has another MLB, NHL, and NBA stadiums.. They also do concerts (lady gaga, etc) in addition to sports. My only hold up is: (not to sound like a pussy but..)

What about security? Do they kick you out if they see you? Do they think you belong there when you are putting flyers on cars? Is it best to do cars which park outside the stadiums? What about when people are exiting the stadium?

The problem besides security, is that there are usually a strong police presence near the entrances to these places...

anybody have any insight into this facet of this outdoor idea?

Bumpin this to the top to get the discussion flowing. I believe that this method has some INCREDIBLE potential.

I've researched business cards and they are much more affordable and you can put them in your pockets like mentioned above :)

You can get 3,000 one sided glossy business cards for around $60 shipped. Not too bad :)

I think I'm going to register a generic sports give away domain, and send traffic directly to that URL which redirects to my CPA offer. I will possibly use pollfactory or something similar but I'm not sure.

I'm also going to SPLIT TEST offers by the 500's to see which converts best over which accounts. This way I can find the best offers for the next game :)
I'm wondering how best to do this though.. Since I get better deals on bulk purchases of the business cards I want to only use one URL. How would I split test the offers?
Do a script that rotates through the offers per each unique hit? That way each offer gets the same amount of traffic as the others. I think that would work well and I could see which converts best :)

I'm wondering about legality issues though.. Am I going to get arrested for handing out business cards? Will I get in trouble for putting them on car windshields?

Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated.
 
In terms of legal issues: I would be careful with passing out anything on private property, but you would have to probably really piss someone(security guard) off for them to really do anything. They could get you for trespassing and maybe littering, but I would not let that you stop you. Security has more important things to watch than some guy passing out cards.

I have passed cards out at Laker's games in the past. I was promoting a strip club and would post girls at a handful of exits with cards and it worked like a charm. I also passed them out myself with zero trouble. I think the reward would out weigh the risk...so go for it!
 
I would hit every car parked on city streets...the seem to be fair game. Once again, maybe the littering thing might get you,but I think the chances are small.
 
You'll most likely just get a warning if you get any trouble.
As for the flyers on windshields, watch out for guys like me...I chase guys like you down when I catch them putting crap on my car :)

So you chase guys down and then what? You might wanna be careful...some of "those guys" you chase down might end up kickin your ass. :)
 
What about creating a website regarding to a huge event (like the royal wedding on friday) and promote the niche site (Clickbank site or whatever) with flyers in your city.. hmm have to think about it now.. any ideas?

Buy yourself a guillotine - about $50.

Then design a dl flyer. 3 dl flyers fit on 1 a4 sheet.

get these printed by a kinko or officeworks and you'll get them printed for about 1c each in bulk.

then guillotine them yourself and you'll have 10,000 for about $35 - it'll take about 10 minutes to do all the cutting.

I do this monthly for my bricks and morter business.

I admit I do share some out there methods - but beheading is not one of them - although if I ever found myself alone in a room with Matt Cutts..........................

I'm going to setup domain and stuff today hopefully. Going to give this a solid go after planning some more. I'm going to need to figure out how to get an iframed offer into a pollfactory poll. It would be so simple then and I could switch it up easily before each game.

This is also going to be done on a fresh CPA account so I will need to get some quality other traffic from around where I live.
Most leads will be generated from the same location since it's people living in proximity to the stadiums. Do you think this could pose a problem?

I'm going to work on getting some whitehat traffic to these also.
 
Do you guys know if Cpa Framer is still working well?

I'm going to set this up ASAP as soon as I hear it's secure, or there is another way to do it.

I now think I am going to use ghostcpa with pollfactory or custom landing pages. I'm also going to print small flyers instead of business cards to keep the initial costs low. I'll then upgrade to business cards if the first round goes well.
