The best TLD for seo?

I have been debating on purchasing a domain with a .org because .com is taken.

Do you think it is just as good for seo and worldwide purposes?

Hey OP!

From my experience Google tends to weigh .net and .org about the same as .com TLD. If you are however trying to rank in say google.co.uk then you will want to snag a .co.uk domain extension as it will help with rankings!

Tlds dont matter for seo but they do for branding, so decide accordingly.

Google treats all TLD the same way for ranking purposes. If a .net had better content and backlinks than a similar named .com site, it would likely rank higher. Google is more focused on other factors than just the TLD aspect. With that being said, the consumer or person visiting your site might prefer to visit one that has .com as the TLD if that is what they are more familiar with.

Good luck ranking a .tk domain. Except for some crappy TLDs the domain extension doesnt matter regarding seo. If u want to rank nationally, get a country specific tld...if u want to rank worldwide ( i will let u guess)

Dear,
It would be preferable for you to opt .com sites in the context of SEO. .Com sites are easy to remember for visitors, and ensures repeat customers.

Sure, all extentions are good for Seo purposes. The only problem is that a TLD have to be easy to reach and remember! For Google are all the same!

Please stop to insinuate that Google judges differently extensions as different value of Seo, is so stupid to believe in this myths in 2015
