With funny content you can gain many followers, because people share funny things alot. But it is very saturated

best niche is the one that works for you
@BHApollo is right people generally don't give away their rockstar niche to keep competitors out
but there are niches that generally beat the rest when it comes to your goal such as what i refer to as "babe" accounts in adult niche.
spend some time on IG browsing the discovery feed...see what accounts pop up as having major influence. analyze what they're posting and if you're capable of duplicating it. then copy it.
that's the easiest way to success. see what someone (who is successful) else is doing and clone it.

There are broad niches and sub-niches. Sub niches are working best. example for Broad niche: Dogs
