The best generation yet?

The next generation.

I'm an X-er. Definitely the coolest generation. Even despite me being a part of it.

I feel like everyone else here in saying that their generation is the best... Millenials, I think, may not be the coolest, but they are are cooler than Gen Z in my opinion. Gen X and the subreddits catering to them are sad to me. They are cool in that, "suicidal, lead poisoned, and deeply scarred by the neoliberal reforms of the 80s, isolating sexist individualist ideology of the times, and the decline this all caused. They have serioous mental health issues and are in denial of that and so many pressing social and political issues. They are like Baby Boomers Lite. Gen Z, on the other hand, is confused and split. Gen Z men and women are very politically fragmented. At least millenial men are generally less susceptible to fascist apologetics' mad raving. I think that Millenials are the most well-adjusted even though they are somewhat like Gen Z and financially screwed.

Yep, that's definitely me.

Each generation had stupid and cool people. In each and every times there was enough spare place for love and adventure, for bravery and fun.

Upon rereading what I wrote... yeah, I guess you guys are the coolest then. You are the first of many subsequent generations to have your hopes and dreams crushed by stock market crashes, needless expensive wars, and unregulated new technological markets.

At the end of the day, we can come together and agree on one certain thing at the very very least. Gen Alpha is screwed.

Actually not true. When genx grew up there was no war. Vietnam, yeah that was boomer generation. Iraq 2, that was millanials. Genx grew up in that window of peace time. Iraq 1 was like a picnic, some sorta camping.

That is the thing about generations... the window is super wide. I am practically the last of my own being born in 95, yet I am grouped in with those born as early as 81. While there may not have been wars in which the US was quite so directly involved, the same cannot be said of the rest of the world... make no mistake, there was still a lot of meddling in foreign affairs back then, but it would not have been on Americans' radars so much unless you were into political activism then.
