The beginning.

Well, the brazillian server is dying and because of that i had to get a full time job on a shopping store. Its hard to work the whole month to get a really bad salary and by this time, next year, i hope i will be working from home with IM, making enough money for living and saving to open my real life business.

Because of this decision i started to search the internet about how to make money, i though about Poker botting, WoW botting and some other stuff, until i accidentally found BHW, i already read a lot, got inspired by some "MAGIC MAKING PROGRAM" and then realized that there is no money making program who do all the work and make you rich. But i also found some really interesing readings and one really caught my attention 280013-ask-me-about-making-500-day-adsense-getting-banned-google . After reading this im decided, i dunno if one year from now i can make 500 a day on adsense, but i want to do at least 2k month.

Well, i think this is a little big already, i hope my limited english skills be enough to make everyone understand what i'm talking and to learn a lot from here.

I'm going to use this topic to talk about everything i'm trying, my attempts, fails and doubts about processes, first i'm going to put what i understood right now and i would like that some of you guys with more experience help me correcting where i'm wrong.

So far, the only method i really liked is using adsense to make money, as far as i can tell is the best one to learn something more, even if isnt the one who give more money on the short term. Youtube seens to be one of the easiest to make profit on the short term but you don't learn much about SEO.

My goal is to make small sites who can gave me at least 5us at day on adsense. My next step is to find some niches and start doing things for real. I already have one dedicated server where i'm going to run my first site and probably the next 9 or so.

The thing now is identify the niche and is where i'm having some trouble. After some really quick search i found 2 methods of evaluating niches, the first with google adwords and the second with traffic travis. My problem is that the niche i'm trying to get in is giving me some really diferent answers from those methods.

I didin't got the domain yet, i don't think that the domain name is that big of a deal, unless you are talking about some trademarked stuff, wich means trouble. The niche i'm getting in is TV Reviews. I know, its some really competitive stuff, but i found that "samsung tv review" is a keyword with some really easy competition to beat, at least the first page is full with bad stuff that i'm pretty shure i can do better with my little to none knowledge.


Now is the thing, with adwords i'm getting 74.000 search/month worldwide and traffic travis show me only 1649.



Well, since i like what i wrote so far i'm not going to fix it, i just found my mistake, traffic travis show the searches on daily basis, adwords on a month basis.

Next step is choose the domain name and setup the initial site, after that i'm going to populate with 10~15 articles and learn about how to spread the word.

I'm going to keep posting here all of my progress with this niche and talk a little about everything i learn.

To end this first post of this thread i would like to share my goals, one year from now i don't wan't to need to work 9-5 anymore, like it was when i did my stuff on Ragnarok Online, in six months months i want to have at least one site with U$10/day. I'm also going to sell my car as soon as i can get rid of my job and go to Canada to study english and maybe some other stuff for at least one year.

Lets see what i manage to get.

After reading a little more i found that the PPC is one really important thing to track and i found that this keyword is paying 0,44. This is low, right? To get U$10 a day i would need around 25 to 27 clicks, if i target 5% conversion (wich as far as i know its a lot) i need at least 5400 visits daily and there is only 2300 searchs on this keyword per day.

I guess i'm going to change my niche, hehehe

Be careful with that math. Keyword research is such an important part of this business and that includes the ability to assess the potential of the keyword itself outside of how many searches or the cpc rate. I have some keywords that are currently getting a 20% ctr on a site and I've had others that have generated 40%. Those numbers are 4 to 8 times what you've quoted. You don't need anywhere near the number of monthly searches to make those pay out. One of the things you should look at is the number of Google Adwords ads running for that keyword. Large numbers of advertisers at high CPC rates is usually an indication of a lucrative keyword. Think buying patterns. The closer a consumer is to the actual buying decision of a product or service the more lucrative.

I am a noob too anonguyalone and do not want to work a 9-5 at all ever.. it's depressing and I hate working under people.. I'd prefer to run my own business and IM is the most effective ways online to get big $$$'s coming in, anyway good luck on your venture and if you ever need any advice (even though Im a noob) don't be afraid to PM me.

I understand that the CTR can vary a lot, there is a lot of factors on this equations.

What is a large number of advertisers? This keyword has 8 right now.

Edit: Well, i'm decided that i'm going to make the samsung tv review, even with the PPC being low, the experience isn't just about getting the money, its understanding what i need to be at the first page of results on this keyword and maybe others related.

Do you guys think that my english is enough to make the articles? I'm thinking about picking around 20 tv reviews and manual spinning, isn't that hard to change words or rewrite phrases.

On another topic, reading more thru the forum i believe that the best kind of niche is the one who is populate with desperate people in search of something or really passive about the subject, like help with problems or something that the person really want (iphones, mp3 players, ipads, etc).

Dam, its really hard to decide where to start, after reading more on the forum i'm really tempted to try some twitter stuff with CPA. CPA offers seems to be waaay more interesting then adsense, the thing right now is getting one CPA acc, i've applyed for CPABeyond earlier today.

Got my domain, the wordpress is setup, already posted the first 2 articles. Just a few more and i will go for the backlinking process.

I'm working at an electronics store, i have real access to the TVs i'm going to review and i can take real, unique pictures too I think this is going to help a lot!

Well, after almost 2 months waiting for the first site to rank well and reading a lot i decided to change things a little.

First thing, i'm out of MNS, i'm going to aim for authority and with that in mind i found my main keyword and researched the long tails that i will aim at the start.

The keyword is from the medical niche and have some good stats:


kw0 is the main keyword that i found
kw1 have some good stats too, but is harder to rank, i will try to rank it later in the run.
kw2-12 are long tails that traffic travis and serpiq define as easy to rank

Right now my biggest problem is sending the money to paypal to buy the domain/articles, I already have the money for the domain, hosting and 20 articles.

For backlinking i will use google alerts on the keywords and some other related and submit some spunned articles to web 2.0s, but this is for the end of the week, maybe later because of my irl job.

Right now what i want and what i know i can deliver is to have the site ready to receive articles by friday.

And i would like to ask something, there is two pairs of keywords wich are exactly the same, one is like "how to treat flu on teen" and the other is "how to treat flu on teenagers", should i make one article per keyword? Or just use both anchors to backlink?

Another thing is how to organize the site on wordpress. Since there is multiple keywords i was thinking about creating one page per keyword and throw the articles there and the homepage with with the kw0.

Oh, and i almost forgot, the domain isn't EMD, i'm going to use something more general.
