Pervaiz Musharraf, the bastard, brutal, dictator of Pakistan finally is kicked out of office. We are so happy here in Pakistan, although we know that nothing will change, but still this is a step in the right direction. I hope no country has to bear such oppresive and ruthless military bastards as the poor third world countries are forced to do so.

good for you...the people of a nation are always good....it is only the selfish, idealist, narrow-minded extremists at the top that make a country look good or bad..

pak has always had a bad image and obviously its been thanks to the stupid people at the top...

of course, mushs fall may not mean anything....we ll just have to wait and see....

Na, It is all a stunt by these same people to stay relevant and in power. Just look at it, he was in power for 9 years and there was a continuous spate of suicide blasts, and fighting in the tribl belts with these taliban. He was not able to stop it in 9 years, what could he have done in the remaining years. Heck even Benazir was killed in his rule, and this guy could do nothing to prevent it?
The only reason he was in power was cause of bush's support, and the only reason for bush's support was the threat of taliban and muslim extremists, so why would the pakistan army want this support to go away?

If they want to they can beat the hell out of these talibans in a week's time maximum. But then again these talibans are also sponsored, think Iraq and the "weapons of mass destruction".

You are absolutely right.
but We dont have hopes for anything much. the current king of pakistan, the widower of benazir has corruption charges of 1.5 BILLION $ against him, how's that for a poooooor country.
That couple:Benazir and zardari were/are worst than anything that this country has ever seen.
 
99.999% of the problems overseas has to do with the government/leaders
 
Its a sad situatation now in the middle east. In the one end they have islamic extremism, in the other dictatorship supporting capitalism. They are getting a boot in their face either way :(
 
Obviously things wont change by hand of men for this world, that's for sure.
We have tried for thousand of years with no success, the world is still a mess and things getting worst day by day.

Not being negative but realist.
 
Pretty much in the same boat here in the US.

Bush is leaving but absolutely nothing will change because everything is run off the same agenda.

That's true. I have a lot of friends who are muslims, from Irak and from Iran and most of them do go to pubs and drink beers and whiskey. Some even eat hotdogs no matter if it's pork or not. They just aren't so religious and I guess they are just muslims cause they where born in a muslim world. Just like I am christian cause I was born in a christian world.

Someone said that they hoped that non fanatics takes over now... I sure hope so too even though the muslims is far as fanatic and dangerous as the christians have been thoughout the history and it still turned out pretty good for most of the christian societies ;)

What people tend to forget is that there never have been a war that purly have been due to religion. Religion is always just an excuse for other political forces.

I think this government just came up to reopen thier banned bankaccounts. and suck more money from peaples. I think we are only happy with a martial law.
 
I guess it's hard for your country to get much help beyond its own people. I would guess the methods with which Pakistan came into being leaves the rest of the world nervous about engaging in any sort of relations. India would take it as a slap in the face, and most politicians/corporations would rather have india as a trade partner. In my opinion, all of this is horribly unfair to the people. A good revolution to start a government with any sort of interest in their citizens in mind seems to come with backing from a foreign nation. I do wish your people the best; too many countries get raw deals like this.
 
the usa loved that guy. he was a strong man and kept radicals at bay...

If the civilian Government in Pakistan manages to control the military over important affairs, then its good for the country..otherwise, there is no doubt that martial law will erupt in Paistan again like it has done in the past. You need to get the ISI under civilian control first for that to happen...Most intelligence agencies are normally under civilian control. In Pakistan, the army has too much influence in all spheres of life
 
I'm interested to see if the new leader of Pakistan will continue to be a U.S. ally as well as soon to be president Mccain.
