in just last 24hrs these were released:
- GPT 5.6
- Muse Spark 1.1
- Grok 4.5
- GPT Live
the future is absolutely amazing!
Mark Zuckerberg tweets for the first time since 2023 announcing Muse Spark 1.1 available on Meta AI which is quite strong model with a very good price focusing on agents and coding!
Anthropic will be extending access to Claude Fable 5 on all paid plans beginning July 12.

Yeah i would say 80% that's going to be amazing and 20% that we are cooked lol

Everyone loves a good subsidsed AI model - but what's the plan when the subsidy ends? You ready to spend $2000/mo not $20/mo when the investor money runs out?
Glad to see some rational thinking where all the critical thinking is outsourced to AI

Agentic AI is the future. Everyone will depend on AI agents to handle tasks. However, there is no monopoly like search engine market. Everyone is fighting to eat more than what they can. I'm sure more contenders will join soon.

Its really the most interesting topic right now. As a music streamer the models that will be realsed in 3-6 months will make it even easier as the music will be so much better. Its going to be fun. On the other side i do see it very criticial once its about the environment ...

We are definitely cooked if we don't use AI.
But what happens when the subsidized AI runs out? Are you willing to pay unpredictable amount of money for tokens? (which will be a lot more expensive than they are right now)

I'd say there's about an 80% chance this turns out incredible, and a 20% chance we're all in serious trouble.

@Nameless Knight kinda has a point that everyone keeps skipping past. The current pricing is not real pricing, its land grab pricing. But i dont think it jumps straight to $2000 either... compute keeps getting cheaper and theres too many players fighting for it to all collude on price at once.

What i'd actually watch is the free tiers quietly getting worse before the paid ones get pricier. Thats usually how it goes. Enjoy the subsidized era while it lasts honestly, just dont build your whole workflow around one provider assuming this price sticks.

The only way I see this working is open-weight or open-source models running on own hardware

That's true, we are going to be left behind. What concerns me if they start building some implants like neurolink type and if you don't have you you will certainly get left behind, then we have to make a choice either to become half human half robots or be ORGANIC and get left behind..

*Now really insert terminator soundtrack*
