Yo guys,

I asked this questions to a lot of xrummer owners but none of them can answer me precisely.

Is using Xrummer to send mass PM in forum consider spamming?
If it is, then will it affect my site?
Will I get legal issues if I send mass PM?

Here is the thing, i think somebody used Xrummer in DP and they get banned.

PM = personal message
DP = digitalpoint

Of course mass PM'n is spamming and every forum that I know will ban members who do it, but I dont think you will get legal issues when you spam on forums.

Interesting,

I would say any form of email or PM is spamming, and I know there for a while I was getting PMed to death on IM, so I don't even use it anymore. It does work or many would not have used it, but just like spam blockers have killed effective bulk email success, I suspect the same for PM spam will start to impact this practice as well.

As a forum owner, I don't think you would ever get into legal issues for mass PM spamming, unless you were doing it on a regular basis. If you pissed someone off so much they might go to this length.

I dont think they will ban you... google will only discounted the spam backlinks.. otherwise.. you can easily ban your competitor from google using this technique..

Sending 1 PM advertising your website when the recipient didnt ask for it would probably get you banned for spamming, lol.

yeah I would say it's illegal as well, but you wont get in trouble unless you do it on a MASSIVE scale. myspace sued people for spamming messages on it

Yeah, stay away from the big dogs who have a history of making an example out of spammers.

I have a friend who did not look back at myspace again. He spammed there in large scale and stop doing such .

dude if you want to send traffic to your site you can use traffic sent by stumbleupon. you can stumble your site and if you follow a proper marketing plan it can drive a lot of traffic to your site. it is highly targeted traffic
