This might be a stupid question, but I know there is an advantage with advertisement revenue to have videos longer than 10 minutes.

My question is, is it disadvantageous to post videos that are 13, 14, 15+ minutes long? Better put, is it advantageous to be as close to 10 minutes as possible?

In my point of view I have always heard that advertisers or YouTube reward much better videos over 10 minutes, but on the question you mention it seems to me that having 10 minutes 15 minutes or 30 minutes is not bad. The fact is that your content is interesting to make the people who see it most see it complete or at least even more than half, since that way the statistics tell YouTube that your video is useful and not Just simple fill. I don't know if I'm really making a mistake but this is my point of view on your question.

In short, it doesn't matter how long the video lasts after 10 minutes, while its content is useful for people who watch it. Everything will be fine.
