That one lurker.

So, here we are... Yep another journey beginning with the first step. It is going to be an intense one. But first a little back history.

The name is Brett. I joined BHW way back in 2009. I was 19 years of age at the time and had no work history, no real life experience. Aside from being kicked out of my mother's house at the ripe age of 18 about a year earlier. I needed money. I wasn't even finished with high school yet. I moved around enough to keep me in general public education an extra two years. They even made me repeat classes I had taken at a previous school. All I knew was I need to be my own boss to make it where I wanted to get. Not a damn thing else.

This isn't going to be a "feel-bad for me story" or "please spoon-feed me" post so let us continue.

Let us move forward to today. I am twenty-one years of age. I have kept a job for about three years so far. The first year I was frustrated, felt like I knew it all. I wanted to do everything, cause no one else was competent.

Year two everything came into focus. I changed my job into a learning opportunity. "What can I learn about this or that?" and "How does that work?" were constant questions I had. I learned a lot, not limited to job based skills. Time management, people management, and what it really means to be hated were the various subjects I learned.

Year three things continue to change. Now I'm learning business politics from my job. Favoritism and the such. I'm also learning to exploit them completely.

I joined this forum to learn various ways to create a business for myself so I didn't have to rely on family to take care of me.

My family has been amazing to me. Fed me and clothed me when I didn't produce an income. Kept my rent as low as possible. Tried to get me to continue my education. Tried to keep me on the straight and narrow when I went passed blackhat into down right criminal territory world of hacking. I could of cost someone close to me, his job. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't know a damn thing about computers in general. I am deeply and terribly sorry for that. My family is awesome and I love them.

But enough back story. Lets get to the action plan. I'm going to make a list first then further break them down afterwards.

1.) Start my first website. I will be starting this right after I finish this post.
2.) Practice design, SEO and monitization
3.) Buy another website and flip it.
4.) Repeat step 3, keeping the site only if it is 100% no effort(outsource if valuable enough) cashflow greater than $50 a month
5.) Once monthly income suffices (about $1500 a month) I will quit my current job.
6.) Once monthly income increases again ($3k-$4.5k/month) I will move into my own affordable house.
7.) Start a real estate business specializing in rental homes/condos.
8.) Investments in gold/silver and stocks and guns.

While my action plan is concise I know there are a few unknowns along the way. I may even dabble in site flipping soon than I thought possible.

Site flipping has been an interest to me since I bought "Killer Flipping Secrets" back in 2011.

I haven't made any money because I am excruciatingly lazy even though the plan is 100% bullet proof. Laziness has really been my downfall the past four years I have been a member. I am also a cynical skeptic. I need to get over that and realize there are just as many good people as bad people in this world. I am a bit of a patriot as well. I wanted to join the military since I was 17. My injuries from skateboarding ruined that dream for me. I use my personal money to donate to the USO and Purple Heart.

My wish for this forum blog is to add people who want me to keep honest and for other people in my situation now to learn beside or from me in the future.

This will be a one-hundred and ten percent whitehat journey. Thank you for reading.

So as a quick update, I purchased my first domain. Can you say EXCITING?

However I hit my first roadblock with hosting. I tried to use hostgator but I didn't know they take everything out at once instead of a monthly/recurring fee
I am unable to progress any further until I either A - have enough money for hosting or B - figure out who I can use that takes a monthly fee instead of a lump sum.

You can use other hosting providers such as hosterbox or hostwinds since they offer per monthly basis fees. Good luck on your journey OP!

good luck... you'll need it. You're being very optimistic with your money figures without realizing how difficult will it be to reach that income. I would say that less than 1% of users on this forum make that much in a month...

Sounds good but don't get lazy. You have one heck of a ride in front of you. Start now.

So I've acquired hosting from a Jr. VIP Member with a good track history.
He has been extremely punctual and helpful when dealing with a newb like me.
I only got a three-month hosting deal with him to see how it works. I most likely will be going through him to get hosting again.

Another update!
These are coming in pretty quick. I don't know why I was scared to setup a website in the past, I am pushing through roadblocks with ease.

I bought some hosting from 2011nfl, but I was unable to transfer my domain. Too new. First newbie mistake made. That wont affect business relations from nfl and I in the future. Will be purchasing more of his services again!

So I bought temp. hosting from godaddy, where I bought the domain. I am well on my way.

Wordpress is installing as I type!

Pretty sure hostgator charges monthly. I have 3 websites hosted on it.

Mainly websites that are under-monetized or sites with low-to-no traffic. This is a bit down the road of course. I'd like to learn how to do these things successfully first.

My way of doing that is to see what has worked previously and re-hashing it to be unique or about a completely different subject.
Under list item 2. I plan on learning natural SEO like backlinking and content generation. I may even get a few articles written specifically for the niche I'm looking at.

As a side I plan, I may be doing something on fiverr to make a steady rolling income. Or even try flipping a site sooner.

I am just going to roll with it and see what happens.

Just wanted to add some actionable (smart) goals, since my first post was pretty vague -

Short term (3 months):
Start earning $1/day from my blog through adsense
Earn $50/day from Fiverr after finding a method that will work for me
Start using AC to make money
Work on SEO for articles to have greater keyword density


Mid-term (6 Months):
Earn $10/day from my website through Adsense and Amazon
Earn $100/day from Fiverr, Scaling up operations as necessary.
Become a top poster in AC for AC partner options
Use the knowledge of SEO and Monitization to flip sites


Long-term (1 year):
Earn $100/day from multiple sources on my website/blog
Mantain clients gained from Fiverr, outsourcing as nessecary
Start Real Estate investing business
Start using compounding interest to protect my family's future

Longer term (5 years/subject to change)
Sell my website or hire someone else to manage it.
Sell or hire someone to take over my Fiverr/ Article business.
Focus on offline businesses. May open a franchise business.
Re-learn Chinese, for over-seas trade opportunities.

Quick Update
WordPress finished installing on my site, got a few add-ons recommended by a thread in the whitehat section.
So far so good. Haven't made my first post yet. I have figured out something I'm a bit of an expert on to use the website for.

Just stopping by for a quick update.

Got my adsense account back. Also found 3 blogs I started in 2010 lol. Apparently I got five views on one in Sep. 2012 shockingly I haven't seen this site in ages...

Haven't touched the website since WordPress installed, going to set up a couple niche specific bloggers and see what I can do.

Also going to try the pin-trest method w/ blogger and Adsense.

Best of luck to you... Remember to stay focused and work every day. I've never sold on fiverr but I'm not sure if it is a long term strategy as I've read many posts from people who have struggled with the payoff versus time required. Unless you have a plan to sell something you do not have to spend much time doing, like a product you already own, etc.

P.S. I've also decided that there is no such thing as whitehat. It is either Grey or Black anyway you look at it now.
It is like going down the rabbit hole in a sense.

Well to throw a cog in a productive year, I get a medical bill in the mail today. My insurance has a "deductible" and I probably will not ever meet it. I'll be dropping their service tomorrow at 9 a.m. since their service is a con.

I mean you take $1700 away from me? yet wont even pay $300 back to keep me in "good health" so you get paid?

Shit like this is frustrating.

Took a couple days off of the net to clear my head and get some offline business done. Should have the car up and running in a few days with new tags and the such.

Back to the grind

Blog - 9 visits from indexing sites(stat sites)... No clicks on Adsense yet.

Starting to understand SEO in general. When I first started I hardly knew what web 2.0 was. Now I know how to take advantage of it.

I may get back into programming as well. It has only been 3 years lol.

The pintrest blog hasn't had any legitimate traffic yet so instead of directing my time at that, I am going to work with facebook instead.

Welp off to the main job.

Now understanding some more SEO. Picked up SEOQuake toolbar... Working wonders at helping me understand things.

In my opinion it is a must have tool unless there is something better than it for the same price (free)
