Thanks for having me and dealing with my newbness

Hi i am new and i greatly appreciate all the knowledge that i have been able to gather in this forum.

My goals are to be able to make enough income off of internet marketing so I wont have to work 2 part time jobs anymore.

I guess that would require at least about $1200 a month.

I am open to doing that in any kind of way whether it content, advertising, selling, providing services, subscriptions...

I currently have a niche listings site and in the works i have 2 others 1 is already developing into a eshop the other is im thinking eshop or review site

I really appreciate any input or strategies you all have

I think the best advice I can give for SEO (provided you do it) is to make everything as real and natural as you can. This involves no spamming forum posts, no automatic link builders, etc. It seems that with the latest Panda updates, google is really emphasizing unique, REAL content that's not auto generated.

Yes I have been having ok success with my site. I have adsense and am getting like 20 unique visitors a day. So I started to cater more towards niche related products and also added Amazon affiliate with the WordPress Amazon product in post plugin. I have one producton on page one of google and am confident I could get more. I will focus now on driving more traffic to site and adding products.
I was able to add google affiliate also and still need to learn to use that but things are looking good. Feeling excited.
