Thanks cost nothing

I have noticed that when free items are added to the download section or other sections most of it is downloaded by hundreds of folks.

Sometimes these takers download and give due thanks by hitting the thanks button. However, there are hundreds downloading and never give a thought to clicking the thanks button. I recently shared a list on here, over 300 people downloaded it and only 17 people pressed the thanks button.

We are told never to ask for thanks and most contributors here never do, I certainly don't. Please remember it is these fantastic sharers free time they give in providing these downloads.

So for all these contributors please press the thanks button, it costs you nothing.

its all about Reputation and the people you work with/help on here. Thanks are important but souldnt be the reason behind a share or download. I thought your avatar is cute so because ya made me smile im'a thank ya!
 
It's especially annoying when people say thanks in a new reply or even quote your post and just say "I agree with this" or something. Jeez. D=
 
I agree, you shouldn't be expecting a thanks.

Is there a "thanks" goal you have in mind that you want to reach? you have about 66, are you looking to reach 100? maybe 500? If it means so much to you that you would actually start a new thread then to prevent you from doing it again... I thanked you.
 
This should be in the lounge? lol Unless thanking gets us in the Big G :-)
 
Stfu. All of you. Giving thanks is the smallest thing we could do for people that contribute.

It doesn't matter if he is doing it for the thanks or not.

Simple fact is that everyone here likes it when people think their post meant something to someone else.

Hitting thanks is the best way to show that you like what the other person contributed.

Yeah I agree with you here, except people shouldn't be made to thank someone. Thanks will be given by someone if they really found the particular share useful...

Maybe its easy for them to post "thanks for sharing" than to press thanks button. Just my opinion because I've it many times.

Actually, they're usually replying with those generic comments to inflate their post counts, not because it's "easier".

Hitting the thanks button is a lot easier than typing shit like "Hey bro, great share thanks".

They wont push the thanks button. They will post bs stuff like " great post, thanks" to increase their post counts. Because they are leeches. Leech, increase the post count and move on to something else. So you shouldnt expect much. You should not expect anything, actually. Otherwise it could turn into sharing for benefits, rather than contribution. Then you would have no difference from those people. Think about that. Either share and dont care, or just dont share.
