"Thanks" button spammers on BHW... wtf?

LOL. You guys crack me up. I honestly can care less if people thank each individual poster of a single thread. I just wanted to make sure the forum wasn't being taken advantage of in some sort of way.

I think that is the first one I saw. There's another member (maybe same under different user account?) named samer doing the same thing.

as with anything else it has its flaws, but overall i like the system, and most people realize its an alternative to having 100 posts per thread saying "hey thanks alot for this!"
 
i personally belive that if someone has helped you then you should be thankful towards him and you should acknowledge the person by using thanx button because the person deserves it :)

This line of thinking leads me to think you are Uptown and WP..... ;) Thanking yourself and all.

We need a bull crap button too, then people can do both to some posts.

Thank you for this WorldlyPanther....I don't dare use the "thank" you button.

I tend to thank for any posts I find particularly helpful. Is that a problem? You all seem to complain if we don't thank and now you are complaining if we do thank ! Make up your minds !
I just thought it was common manners which a few seem to lack along with maturity on this forum. It is wonderful place to get tips you never see in other forums and common courtesy to thank the poster who could just as easily sat on the information and not shared.

I tried thanks spamming this thread but it got too long...

and I still didn't see why the hell anybody would do it. No hot naked women nor money appeared so I'm not wasting my time on it anymore...
 
Its better for someone to use the thanks button if they appriceate a post or thread rather than posting 'thanks' as that is a jerk way or boosting your post count.
 
it doesn't boost your thread count though.. Does it?

I have a dirty little secret.

I actually like to receive thanks.

I vastly prefer money. Barring that, I prefer merit.

But hell, any old thanks will do.
