Just wanted to thank all you guys here and BHW. I read a lot, posted a little, been on here for past couple of months, wasn't entirely committed but changed that in the past month since I really need extra income to pay off some bills/debt.
I had this one website that wasn't ranking, and many things were wrong with it. Went back and applied all that I read here in the past 2 weeks and here are the results for exact keyword:
Going from no where to be found in the SERPs to 6th place...extremely exciting.
competition for keyword is low-med, 3600 exact match local.
Changes I made to my first micro niche site. I changed all the posts to pages, applied unique images I shoop'd, applied alt tags, meta tags, descript. tags, h1, h2, h3, wrote all unique content myself. Created inbound links from page to page, went on blogs and yahoo answer type sites, wrote and left relevant comments with a link to the source i.e. my site.
