No numbers using textnow are working to verify instagram accounts. Any good alternatives?

Free services like TextNow - where you don't have to do anything in exchange of free phone numbers - are abused to hell. You can try other mobile apps instead such as Groove IP, which is still free or can be free, but you need to watch videos, install apps or play games to gather credits, what you can use to receive calls/SMS. Besides Groove IP there are a few other similar services on Google Play. If you don't have an Android device, you can use emulators (Bluestacks, Andyroid) on your PC to run the apps.
It's not a certainty that any of them will work, but it worth a try, if you're out of ideas.

Stopped working for me, not receiving anything, I tried about 20 textnow numbers. Is it working for everyone else?

I tried 50+ numbers, from different area codes, none worked.

Yeah I tried different area codes too, this ain't looking good.
I remember seeing other similar sites like textnow on instagram journeys etc just can't find them.
Hope we can find an solution/alternative soon

There are alternatives but there aren't many. Soon there won't be any apps that work for phone verification.
@HoNeYBiRD already gave a good answer, you might want to look at it.

Yeah it's good but I don't have an android and it seems like a lot of effort, I guess it might be the only way though.

That's why it is a good solution
Most spammers won't use it because it will take a lot of effort.You can use bluestacks, nox (I totally recommend this one), or other android emulators.

Alright Instagram, let's fuckin play ball then.
It's about time tbh, I've been waiting for them to implement proper phone verification blocks, proper image filters, use of flash cookies, Cyrillic-English spintax equivalence, and about half a dozen other things for months now. At least they did the first thing.
If they had paid me a tenth of what they pay whoever the monkeys are that designed IG's anti-spam system...
