    Is it a reliable place?
How long does it take for them to pay once you submit an article?
And also, is there a lot of assignments available? - I want to make sure there is enough assignments to keep me busy.

They pay twice per month via paypal. They only hire US Citizens, and you will be required to provide a W9 before they pay out. The number of assignments available depends on your rating as an author. If you are a level 2 you can only accept level 2 work, level 3 you can accept 2&3 and so on.

I write for them and have always gotten paid. I write as a filler not for my bread and butter. IMO if I was depending on textbroker as my sole income I would not be able to survive. I will say though that I pick and choose what I will write so it may be different for someone who writes full time for them and is not as picky as I am.

Considering the SSN isn't 'your' number to begin with, you could create a faux ID/email/PP, with your own faux number, sign a W9, earn $500 or so bucks, get paid and close the account. Rinse and repeat, no reporting nonsense.

Using pseudonym identities is not illegal, and it is confiscatory tax strangulation and overreach that is contributing to hurting business such that jobs are becoming increasingly unavailable. The latter is the government's doing, not BHer's. Some of us prefer to exercise our first amendment right to free association/disassociation, and not to be in compelled association with the national government, via being coerced into using/reporting the government's SSN. WTG to you for calling freedom a scam.

Where did I call freedom a scam? I said what your proposing is a scam. Hello FRAUD. Making up a ssn, a fake ID, a fake pp to avoid paying taxes is fraud & tax evasion.

Please explain to me where the text of the first amendment says you have the right to assume another identity to avoid paying taxes?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Hmm let's see first sentence-Freedom of Religion
    Second Sentence-Freedom of speech
    Third Sentence-Right to Assemble
    Fourth Sentence-Petition the government

None of these lines says it is ok to assume another identity so you don't have to pay taxes.

If your so hell bent on exercising your freedom to disassociate yourself with the government, don' pay your taxes handle your business as you like but do not f*ck over other people in the process.

In the case of textbroker this would not work anyway, they verify your information with the IRS and if you are stupid enough to try this and you work free than it's a lesson learned.

Free speech MEANS and includes freedom of association, period. The earnings are not exceeding $600, so there is not mandatory reporting or verifying with either the member or TB, under the method explained. And to repeat, use of pseudonym identities is not illegal (many IRS agents themselves do so all the time, and so the rest of us have the same right under equal protection under the law to do the same). It is the IRS that is messing with people by bullying them into erroneously acting as unpaid government informants, not me.

There is no positive law requiring most Americans to pay or file in the first place, so there is no "avoiding" or evading tax issue for those who have researched the issue. It is the forcible assigning and reporting of a number to a person who has not consented to it, that is the real fraud. The approach mentioned is similar to the practice of some users of AC to make up to $500, then move on to a different account, discussed a zillion times in this forum. Get a grip, good grief!

As I said, it will NOT work with TB. They verify your name and ssn with the IRS BEFORE they will pay you.

And again, I don't give a crap if YOU or anyone else here chooses to not pay taxes on your earnings. Frankly it's none of my business what YOU do with YOUR money. HOWEVER you are leading people up the garden path with your method of tax evasion. Just because you get away with it now doesn't mean you ALWAYS will nor does it mean anyone else would.

By telling someone to create fake info to avoid reporting you are messing with their income and their right to stay out of jail. Just because there may be no federal laws saying we have to report/file that we know of doesn't mean there are not any state/city/county laws saying that you must file. To my knowledge (and I could be wrong) the only entity that is exempt from filing taxes is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Individuals must file taxes if they have earned $500 or more per year in ANY and ALL income. And unless you know the law in every single small town in the US it is very ignorant to give a "method" to avoid paying taxes.

But I would like to thank you for living off of my federal tax dollars since you don't feel the need to pay into the system but you sure are interested in reaping the benefits of those tax dollars. And please spare me the rhetoric of how you are not getting anything from the government because if you live in the United States you are walking on city pavement, you are driving on state roads, your getting oxygen from trees and grass paid for by the taxes you wish to avoid.

Yes, you are wrong. As your mind is obviously closed I will let this go after this, but briefly: TB does NOT verify beforehand, I have ALREADY been paid by them on this basis. It is NOT tax evasion or avoiding, you do not know the law (liability applies to a particular class of people who earn, of which I am not one), and not all earnings are income. Local and state tax reporting laws follow downstream from the federal, so if you are not required at the federal level you are not required to locally---my own state has ALREADY confirmed this in writing to me.

The "United States" as statutorily defined is only DC and federal territories, so yes, I do not reside there, or use its pavements, roads, etc. (and last I heard, no government owns the air, LOL). The method mentioned simply seeks to take the path of least resistance in lawfully resisting the overreach of the IRS's (and your) presumptions that all must report or pay, and its hardwiring of the paperwork process to falsely make it appear as such.

Not consenting to the paper trail short-circuits an erroneous assignment of liability from the outset, which is why it is the preferred route taken by many BHers. So I don't live off your dollars, rather, by accepting IRS rhetoric on face value it is you who lives off everyone's stolen funds, taken by that agency's fraudulently presumptive system.

Look I do not claim to know every single law in the USA, I am not being closed minded I am giving you MY perspective. I did not say the government owns the air please don not put words in my mouth. What I said was my taxes pay for the grass and the trees that give us oxygen.

I am really sick of this debate..pay taxes or don't whatever but don't screw over the rest of us with your scams to avoid it.
