Text-to-HTML ratio

hello,

My Text-to-HTML ratio was low according to on on-page checker. This is for a clients site and it wouldn't really look right if i add a large amount of text to the homepage (page hes trying to rank)....will adding a blog help my text-to-HTML ratio or i need to add the text to the homepage? Thank you.

Blog ALWAYS help, if, and that is a big if, your client can keep it updated. At least twice a week. What it does is to schedule a nice and consistent indexing/crawling cycle of the site.
