Hey everyone,

So I have been getting a mix of image links and text links pointing to my site, but to be honest - I have no idea which is better!

Is there any hints of evidence as to whats better?

Thanks :)

I always tell clients to go with both. Of course, more text and less images. You can use alt text for images to give algorithm an idea what is the image/link about.

I prefer image links. If you have interesting image links. Visitors will click on them easier.

There's no better in this case... But you should have both as to diversify :)

go with both! I don't think there's any kind of problem with that !

Both are good,if Images are from good sites like Pinterest,Flickr etc and do-follow then I must say its good to go with that both. :)

Text links are always helpful in getting some great traffic. As per image concern, although image attract customers too much but somehow for backlink purpose these are unable to manage your quality traffic. I always reffer every one to go to text links

Text Links are always preferred over the image link. The alt tag can be useful for image links but I usually go for text links.

Ok, as far as I can see, highlight is to combine both, with more text links :) Thank you all

Both are good, I personally think that a diverse link system is good.

Within a "differentiated" approach to getting links, I would say absolutely both, but even with alt tags and whatever text you can associate to images, nothing can be made more relevant than pure text; after all, the best links are contextual, right?

PS: the opposite is also true, that is, if the link is irrelevant, it better be an image than from irrelevant contextual ones.

Images are good as long as they are unique(unique photos are the best) and gives a good decription in the alt(it's your anchor text for images), good luck testing!
