If you google mccode you can see a demo of the scriptShow some screenshots of the game if you can. I can't understand what type of game is this..
I find that the design hasn't mattered that much. It's getting players that's the hard part. The gameplay in the original script is addictive enough and that the design is good enough. This is great, best of luck! I might try this myself someday. I know how to make them, just need an original game design and I'm good to go but that seems to be the hardest part.

I've got that implementedYeah I meant gameplay. That is should be the focus of any game and if it's good you will get players.
A good tactic to get more players is to have a referral system. You can give prizes for inviting new players and maybe require the new players to complete a certain action in game like obtaining X level before you give out the prize, that way they will be "forced" to try your game and get hooked.
Thanks, but if I wanted to do that I could get better deals on fiverr.i can help you with app promotion, you can go through my BST and Let us talk Via Skype : Jok3rNik
Yeah there's a "gang"-feature in the game, but it's very basic at this point. I'm planning to make it more advanced. I've got a very visible suggestions-form in the game as well, and I'm giving players rewards for submitting ideas. Can players benefit from having a group or clan? You should implement something that can only be done with two or more players but keep in mind that text-based games are not for everyone, I would struggle to get one of my friends to play one with League of Legends being so big in my circle.
A way to receive player suggestions in the early stage of the game is also crucial. Don't just hide your email in the contact page, put a feedback form in their faces when they logout or something.
Interesting! But are they all single players games?found some info about roguelike engines:

I started on my own gameengine a few years ago as a facebook app, but since facebook kept changing their API i never finished it. Does this mccode or other engines also support facebook ? I think gathering players can be neat if you put in a social aspect like they do on the games on facebook, inviting friends or asking others to give them "free" ingame stuff every day. Then you can still work with getting payments for extra options or special credits or completing cpa offers for extra ingame stuff
Nice idea! I already have a facebook login/register button, so I should be able to figure out their API.I started on my own gameengine a few years ago as a facebook app, but since facebook kept changing their API i never finished it. Turn based like that can work, just look at quizbattle and wordfeud. But I don't think I'll start any roguelike games. This! Facebook makes it so easy to share games with friends. With a little effort, you can integrate the facebook API into mccode but it's better to focus on an engine with good group support. Make them spam your app so they can complete their "dailies". Since you already banked I recomend a different game for this.
About the roguelikes, aren't they all turn-based? You would have to wait until everyone in the gameworld completes their turn just to move again.
I saw turn based and real time too.About the roguelikes, aren't they all turn-based? You would have to wait until everyone in the gameworld completes their turn just to move again.
