Texas is about to shut down As we don't know how to handle the cold LOL.

Right now in Austin TX it's 28 degrees and raining. This weekend they are calling for single digit temp.

When they start talking Ice and snow in Texas everything shuts down. Long weekend here we come.

Please... 28 degrees is fucking warm! I was camping last week in -17F which is -23c. Lol it's the same thing in UK though, whenever they get an inch of snow the whole country comes to a stand still. Meanwhile I'm digging my truck out of 6ft of snow to go and mail some post.

Can confirm, us brits are willfully unprepared. I was walking to Tescos a couple days ago & I fell over at least 6 times. Faceplanting the ground whilst drinking diet coke is not a fun experience. The only good thing about slipping over is that your fight or flight mode kicks in and it warms you up.

That MASSIVE traffic accident in Fort Worth is TERRIBLE!

I think there was a wreck this morning here in Austin and may have been some fatalities.

It was a crisp -7 degrees in Nebraska this week.

I've been considering a move to Texas. Doesn't seem like it's much warmer there lol.

Yeah mate not only Texas and some other parts in the States it’s a long weekend, don’t know different between this an COVID 19

Yea TX isn't well prepared or have the infrastructure for it. I'm in MN so yea its cold and I hate it lol.

But us Texans dont know how to drive in Ice and Snow so they just shut everything down LOL

Absolutely correct - god help you if you're on the highway in Texas and it even starts drizzling. People start slamming on their brakes and driving 15 under like a monsoon just hit, and traffic builds up like crazy. I'm taking the GF out for Sushi for an early Valentine's day and hunkering down the rest of the weekend, it's not worth the traffic to go out of the house otherwise. On the bright side it'll be perfect weather for a fire and some horror movies haha.

Stay safe all.. This weekend it's going to be extremely cold in several places..

lol. It's supposed to get as low as 10 below 0 here in Dallas with a major snow storm coming

We can handle it pretty well in Dallas/Ft Worth generally (R.I.P. to all who died in the 136 car pile up). Most of the time the problem isn't us but rather cocky transplants from up north that move here and be like "this is nothing. im used to driving in snow".................. Until they realize they are driving on solid ice and all of a sudden they catch amnesia :D
