Testing the market IM niche

Planning to promote a digital product IM niche which has only 100+ searches a month , I wan to test it i could see squidoo pages in search results, I would like to test the product if it convert before investing in a domain name, is it possible to rank a site with blogger spot blog, If it is ranking then one it is ranked will i be able to redirect to domain name that i have purchased.

Go with web 2.0

Make a web 2.0 page and rank that

Once ranked then go with your own domain

For such a low competition keyword, just do some good on page SEO and maybe a few mentions on a social network, forum or web 2.0 site and you should rank.

please suggest a web2.0 that is better that squidoo as squidoo is at least hard for me since what i ever i do it is site will be still under construction util you receive 20 or some likes for big suquidoo users
