Testing Scrapebox 100K/day blasts with twist

21/12/2012

Another 400K done today :) :

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 4 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - Not in top500 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site - 165 (starting position = 42)

Back at starting point. This is bit annoying. The worst thing is that I do not even try to penalize those domains so with good will I could kill them almost instantly...

Hey EW

Do you happen to have graphs for these rankings?

This is a great thread, I'm very interested to see where they settle.

What kind of comments do you use so you don't get spam complaints ?

Man, last time i gave it shot i got burned so....

Man, how you got burned? From my knowledge it's legal to leave comments with links.

legal yes, but Google can "burn"/ban your domain if you're over doing it and they catch on.

Mate, elviswong asked how to avoid spam complaints. And it's also unclear how he got "burned".
I never received spam complaints in ~2 years, so I hope he respond :)

Why will the Wiki and Government links come back to right where they started after the next update?
Well, LeapForce is why.

That is all.

Another 500K done today in last 3 days:

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 3 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - 166 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site -
Not in top500 (starting position = 42)

I need to start repeating my lists as I lack any fresh links.

Yes I second that. It's good to see a though and compete test like this. Thanks for keeping it going :)

Haha. Neg Seo really does work then.
How many links have you built in total?

Would be good to put a real cost on doing this.

Bit worrying if the competition has the power to just blow your site off the chart!!

Great experiment:)

So sites with high domain authority (wikipedia, youtube, tumblr) can't be penalized?

Interesting.

The results look more nuanced to me. If you are a brand leader with a wide range of high authority links already, neg seo seems to have not much effect. For lower hanging fruit, it pretty much puts them off the chart.

"the average mom and pop doesn't have to worry about nseo"

Matt Cuts

Wondering of small site was from an "average mom and pop"
