Testing Scrapebox 100K/day blasts with twist

Without seeing the sites its difficult to tell why wiki is staying strong, but I would expect that the amount of overall pages with authority is what's making it last.

I would expect the government site to have authority too but maybe not anywhere near as many pages for internal link juice.

The private site is bouncing around while G decides where it should be position in my opinion.

150K links build today:

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 4 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - 44 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site - 131 (starting position = 42)

Thanks for the update. Any chance we can see how hrefs is doing for the sites?

I wouldn't be surprised if they got flagged for manual review and the gov site got its position back or better and the private site get penalized while wiki just gives no fucks

Sorry all, I have been really sick last few days so thus no updates. Sites were dancing as always all over the place besides Wiki (250K links build over the period):

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 4 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - 18 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site - 120 (starting position = 42)


I will answer all posts later today too - so any questions, fire it up now.

Thanks for the seriousness of the case study Extrawinner, long time I didn't see a case study last this long. Surprised to see the govt site pop back up, will be monitoring what's gonna happen next to him.

We managed to blast 280K comments alone today:

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 4 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - 14 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site - 158 (starting position = 42)

It seems domains start to test new positions...
We are nearing the end of test.

The thing is that they might dance now but I am sure during the next penguin update that small private site will be wiped out and the govt site and wikepedia page will come back..Since google knows well wikipedia and govt site wont give a damn building links to their site/page..common sense

How and why are you sure of this? There is big talk about negative SEO getting sites wiped out these days but if this test does not prove the absolute opposite I don't know what will. With the logic of a lot of people simply sending a few thousand bad links to a website will spell the end for ranking in Google but this test shows that if you do massive blasts you will get a massive dance.

I would not be at all surprised if the wiki site stood still and that the gov site and private stayed at higher positions for the foreseeable future, until the next algo update.

If you don't remember the Penguin update was a huge on-page content algo update NOT a link update, this was showed many many times over at the time yet for some reason people keep posting that it was to do with links. There were an incalculable number of sites with the shittiest link profile that survived penguin just fine, shitty content sites and overly optimised sites with dodgy content (dupe, auto generated, cloaked, keyword stuffed etc) got the boot.

Lots of people since the beginning of this test have been guessing that all or some of the sites will tank quickly but as we can see here, that is not likely to happen now after over 2 weeks of hard blasting.

I really appreciate ExtraWinner doing this as most other "case studies" have ended after just a few days and never given it the duration it needs.

We have blasted 100K links today:

Site 1 - Wikipedia Page - position 4 (starting position = 4)
Site 2 - Government Site - 22 (starting position = 36)
Site 3 - Small Private Site - Not in top500 (starting position = 42)

What I don't understand is -- why is Wikipedia not moving down or up? I mean let's assume Wikipedia has some shield against spammy links -- but why doesn't it EVER move up like the .gov site did (or the private site -- just less frequently)

It seems like Wikipedia is not just "immune" to these links but it's like Google ignores them..

Any insight would be helpful

now this is one of the great reasons to join a forum..to get this rare and useful type of post! ExtraWinner..I read all the posts to see changes in your case study, but I believe I either missed or nobody has asked!

So I know me and quite a few others would be interested in the domain ages of those 3 sites in study and would be great if you can confirm again if it's only scrapebox use here for blasting all those links.

Surely interested to see what happens in the next week..when you can, as always! Thx

Domain Authority is the biggest factor here. The small private site never stood a chance. The bigger and more authoritative sites only benefited from the blasts.
