For some of my ongoing projects, I recently tried a few providers after being in the hosting industry for a long. I've observed that some "top-rated" hosts continue to have performance issues when dealing with modest traffic, but some smaller ones are remarkably steady. These days, uptime and genuine support seem to be more important than server performance. What is the experience of people who have been hosting for a long time in 2025? Do the well-known companies actually enhance speed or dependability, or is this just marketing jargon?

Which ones have bad uptimes. Can you disclose your results so that other can benefit?
I use uptime monitoring to check if website goes down and contact support. Once you are locked into a contract that's all you can do about it.

Time will tell you. You will never know for sure until you try it. I mean, you can read a lot of marketing words these days. However, only your own tests and your own experience will tell you if the service that you are looking at is worth it.
