One blog of mine was performing badly compared to the others and I thought there was just no audience for it anymore on Tumblr.
However, a mere change of the caption and BOOM, doubled!

I changed ....'my blog' to ...'this blog'. Being impersonal seems to work:



I should probably read a book on psychology. Do you guys have any suggestions?

i have no idea what you are talking about.
captions? your mean the title of your blog? captions are the description of a post.

btw, i know a trick for a sudden increase of 'visitors' is by changing your user name (people see a 'strange' user on their dashboards, so they come to find out who this is), which however is a very bad thing to do. that's however not the same as what you did here.

Probably changing captions under reblogs from 'Follow my blog!' to 'Follow this blog!'

I'll try to change the caption of my blogs into the others that you told.
Maybe it'll start working more efficiently.
