If I set up wordpress on my domain under /test how do I move it to be the under the main domain when I'm finished testing? I mean all of the links are going to be created under domain.com/test. Is that going to mess me up?

Download all the files and upload it to the domain public_html including core files if ur domain is empty.. it's not gonna mess.. and no one is going to see the domain as I assume your domain.com doesn't contain anything?

Currently domain.com has my companies main website. I am wanting to switch to wordpress but only after I've finished creating all of the content under /test

You'll need to change some internal settings in wp-config.php and potentially some MySQL records. There is a guide from WP somewhere. I'll see if I can track it down.
