Test order during Shopify free trial

Last time I used Shopify trial I was able to test how the checkout process works and place some test orders which I could see in my store(during my free trial) but now with my second try(different email, new free trial) I can't even get that far and when trying to place an order from 'buy now' button shopify says my shop isn't taking orders at the moment

How can I do a test order while using the free trial like I managed to do before?

Any tips and information will be highly appreciated

In my opinion, You can place a test order by simulating a transaction through Shopify's Bogus gateway. or you are using Shopify payments,then you can test your configuration by using Shopify Payments test mode.
