I was just reading yet another book about marketing and I noticed a pattern in most books about marketing and SEO.

They are not relatable.

At all.

For example

Pomelo Fashion is an ecommerce fashion company that sells apparel in Southeast Asia. With more than $80 million in funding, the company wanted to make significant growth investments. Artificial intelligence was a top priority.

Almost nobody has $80 million in funding.

Those are the same books that cite billionaires "for inspiration". Has never helped anyone, ever.

Yet people buy those books like crazy.

Is there a term for those utterly useless books for small businesses or those phrases that are utterly unrelatable?

I bought around 10 different programming books from amazon and they are such basic knowledge that a mid-level school going student can memorize them and get a job. By reading these programming books no one is going to give job to a high school pass-out.

How's that related to my post?
